I know, when I typed i swore I left the "s" off the name.

Then when I saw it decided IDK...it's the internet.

Sometimes the hair rooted looks great. Those Aragorn pics when people style the hair are fantastic...but I am a guy. I just can't style hair or want to 3 time a year...

But I just can't. I tell people when I do customs, I kind of want to get it accurate, but settle for close enough.

It's probably my personality. Like when I watch movies, I cannot remember the color of say, Aragorns boots...black, brown, tan or green...beats me. Probably brown?

I am just one of those people....
Lmao, what does being a dude have to do with anything? 😂

But yeah, rooted ain’t for everyone. All good. Sounds to me you’re just not in tune with the details, which to me isn’t surprising even in this particular hobby, but caring about inaccuracies and the minute details is a big part for some, especially more so here on this forum.

Men tend not to remember what they wore to their high school prom, while women remember the dress, the shoes color, the lipstick brand, their deodorant.

It's how men are. Explaining why I don't care about misspellings and just cannot give enough f's to style hair.

Love this ranger

Im not really up to date anymore with figures, picked a few up recently but in general i dont bother with any of the forums like i used to. Over last couple of weeks Ive popped back on just for a browse while i waited for a couple of deliveries, anyway I just wanted to ask why the opinion on Inart seem to be quite divisive in the community from what i read ….. why is that ???

Probably due to the QC issues, which for the premium price range should be nonexistent. InArt should also be prepared to act quickly for any that come their way. Thank God I am one of those who managed to avoid issues with both Gandalf and Aragorn sculpts. I have some issues with Gandalf hands, that I can fix on my own. Have not tried Aragorn's yet, he's still in the box but in two days when I am off work will get to assemble him and will see then.

Think it depends on the guy. Like, the guy next door waxes his car to a showroom shine, buffs offs water spots - it's the only car in the neighborhood where the water actually beads up. 😁

But think of it this way - somewhere out there, in the dark of night, someone is out there with a bottle of gel and tweezers, wrestling with fiber in a *manly way* on the sculpt you sold them. Wondering if that little bit of water will dissolve the whole head and hair will come out in clumps like a Wookie in shedding season. Wondering if they can find the courage to so carefully snip that bit of hair for the "Aragorn bang":monkey3

It takes some stones to potentially *&^% up your 500$+ fig. And there's no going back. No way to unring the bell. Do it right, you get more Viggo. Do it wrong, you'll be shelling out hundreds for a re-root job.😱

Folks can say what they want, this hobby will make you prematurely gray after you tried to re-wire your diecast Iron Man and the drill slipped. 😁

Speaking of details, didn't notice the details on the "leather" arm patch - impressive; makes me feel better about not using Boromir's braces when I get the Ranger cloak. Sometimes I wish I could have afforded two of these; it's a small scene but a favorite of mine when Aragorn straps those on, watching the river take Boromir.:monkey2 But no way am I gonna distress a fig to get that look. $$$$$

Yeah, at least for me. Also, you hear so much hype, InArt has so much hype with their little video and all, and then - depending on what you look for in a figure value/cost - well, IMO some things could be improved.

Also InArt doesn't apparently open their arms to customers with issues. That is not premium customer service.

In a nutshell, they’re divisive because people can’t stand Hot Toys not being the sure-fire, undisputed “best in the game” in all facets of 1/6 lol

Is that a recent photo of yours?? Hair looks nice, reminds me of when he was in Rivendell

I suppose it could be user error and perhaps I didn’t have the figure completely upright, but I just went down in my basement and saw Aragorn took a fall backwards. Thankfully Legolas caught him, but seriously **** these InArt bases.

@Cocoboloboy any chance your Amon Hen themed stand is coming soon? I’ve been checking the shop but it’s definitely time to stand this guy securely.

Yikes! I got the landscape AH version listed a few weeks ago but I still want to make one with some stone stairs.

Thanks! yeah I snapped that shot after messing with ASMUS hands so he could hold a mug...vaguely thinking of the Prancing Pony or being on the watch of the Shire. My hair will NEVER look like a lot of the pics here - the fiber mine has seems more coarse with larger waves, and it's a lot of hair. Fortunately in my case the more I mess with it, the more "Aragorn" he looks. Think it softens the fiber up so it lays better.

Far as I can tell most folks got finer waves in the mohair used. InArt is really gonna have to be on the ball for Legolas tho, he doesn't have different hair looks.
