I've not watched Dead Reckoning yet simply because Im not so hung-up on these movies to wait multiple years on a cliffhanger - was it any good?
For the most part I consider the Mission Impossible films pretty good fun, Fallout and Rogue Nation are my favourites.

If you liked the other films, I'm sure you'd enjoy Dead Reckoning. As far as I recall, it's reasonably self-contained as much as a "Part 1" can be, so don't let the idea of a cliffhanger keep you from watching it.

Me neither, tho I was also told you can watch Part 1. I get tired of that waiting cr@p.

I enjoy all these movies and really liked DR. looking forward to this one. However, knowing Cruise wants to keep this series going, I'm not expecting Hunt to bite it.

I am looking forward to this. If nothing else, the action/stunts should be fantastic. Cruise is one of the last actors alongside Reeves in Hollywood that is truly dedicated to the craft. I'll take practical work over CGI any day.

I hope Cruise returns to dramatic, non-action roles in his more senior years - and before he gets himself killed. Watched Eyes Wide Shut for the first time last night and quite enjoyed it.

I had the same thought while watching Rain Man....unfortunately I think Hollywood has changed too much, it's difficult to make indie movie now.

Yeah I need to rewatch that. Plus Born on the Fourth of July and Magnolia, he’s terrific in those.

Colin Farrell is fantastic in Minority Report.

Cruise is insanely good in Collateral. A great villain.

I rewatched Minority Report. It doesn’t hold up for me unfortunately. It’s got great ideas and yes the cast is excellent etc but as a whole, it just doesn’t hang together particularly well, good individual scenes but ultimately quite bland. The effects aren’t good and the action scenes surprisingly bad.

Collateral on the other hand …still wow.

I hated Cruise when i was growing up but at some point probably when he started to do more serious roles i really started to appreciate his acting “chops”. Edge Of Tomorrow is another great one, Oblivion is underrated. Risky Business was the one Cruise film that I loved when I was a kid, and that still holds up.
