Okay so some better quality pics here. One is a comparison of the original InArt figure in stock condition next to the same InArt figure but with all of the Hot Toys armor added (ie; shoulder pauldrons, bicep armor, gauntlets, gloves, chest armor, boots/feet) along with the HT cape, and collar by OT. The HT ankle pegs fit perfectly with the Inart socket. The only mod necessary was using a blow dryer on the hands to fit over the InArt wrist pegs.

I'm not sure which HT pieces, if any, I'll leave on the InArt figure, I just wanted to see how they looked. But the HT cape for sure is staying on, since the InArt cape is just a headache to futz with.

The benefit to the HT pieces, which is better seen here in daylight, is that they add some contrast to the figure with richer blacks and slightly shinier leather. The InArt armor and leather bits are very matte and uniform and while they may be more accurate, on the shelf it reads too flat for me. That's subjective though, I'm sure some prefer the more dusty flat look.

The OT collar also helps hide the InArt neck seam and gives some wiggle room for the head and neck to move more freely.

I may just swap the InArt chest piece back on since it matches the fabric better. BUT the HT actually wraps around the sides of the chest better and appears more flush. From the sides, the InArt sticks out and leaves a noticeable gap.

The Hot Toys armor definitely beefs up his arms and helps make them look less overly long and twiggy. But that's probably in the eye of the beholder more than anything.

That's the best futzing I've seen for the stock figure.

If I recall, you did some padding. Adjusted the straps. Tamed the cape, which looks fabulous by the way..

Anything else?
I think he just needs to remove the velcro from the chestplate and replace it with blutack so it sits closer to the chest

I think this combo look made up of both figures is the best option to my eye. Been looking for the armor bits, but no one seems to be parting out the HT figure. I think my setup endgame will be HT armor, Inart suit/body, Unreal Customs cowl/collar.

That may help a little, but the larger problem is that chest is rounded towards the sides, while the InArt chest piece is pretty flat across. So while it's flush against the chest at the center, it sticks out at the sides. I may heat treat it and see if I can slightly bow the sides inward to curve with the chest.

I saw bits and piece on Toy Anxiety or Monkey Depot months ago. Not sure what they have left now.

That's a very useful comparison.

So all it takes to fit the hands is heating them with a blow dryer? That's good to know.

Which Hot Toys cape did you use here, @rory ? He comes with two, a standard cape and a "motorcycle" cape, correct? I though ppl originally said the motorcycle cape was the better of the two, so I'm curious as to which you're using here 🤔

It's the normal version. The "motorcycle cape" is better yes but the height is wrong.

Yeah I use the regular cape that came installed on the figure. I just removed the velcro tab, separated the ends and sewed individual tabs on so I can adjust placement under the chest piece as needed. It's a lumpy cape from behind. But, with a little double sided tape it has great draping and folds. It's not perfect, but better than any I've seen yet. I had the cape from OSK, but it was too fluffy if that's the right word, and wouldn't lay flat. And then InArts is basically unusable, just a giant thick wired mess.

I had sort of lost interest after the delays, and was debating cancelling, but coming off The Penguin and InArt Aragorn I opted to keep the order. Glad I did - only had time to assemble but first impressions are solid!

But yeah, you all weren’t kidding, it needed a drape cape. Stock one really is just an unruly baggy mess.

Cape is definitely a struggle, but you seem to have futzed it quite well! I still struggle with not getting some of the ends to flare for whatever reason.

I haven't been able to spend much time with mine yet, but did an unboxing and inspection of everything. Probably the least impressed with this InArt figure compared to the rest so far from that look over I've done.

Couple things I've noticed so far, the head/neck on mine does not want to stay upright. It easily droops forward like he wants to be the Joker. My batarang does sit flush, but has really weak magnets and easily falls out. I've always been one to not really understand all the issues people have with capes on many figures...but yeah, this cape is horrible.

I think both headsculpts look great. Their first attempt at human teeth isn't the greatest on the two face plates. Hopefully with spending time with it and futzing, I will be more fond of it.
