Really regret not getting the monkey years ago when i saw it in a shop. Thanks for reminding me.. just found one online. Hope its not a scam !

Captain Jack: I hate that monkey

Ordered the sculpted version as I didn't feel like HT could pull this off to the degree they did. Amazed at what they were able to deliver. However, personally, as nice as it is, with the hat on you don't really notice the nicest parts of the Artisan like the bandana and the trinkets on the back of the head. However one thing i'm not a fan of on the AE is the 2 strands of hair on the left and right on the face. Makes the head look wider then it should be. The sculpted doesn't have it and looks flatter which gives a better headshape.

The strand on the right (or Jack's left), is there in the sculpted but its stranding down like it was in the movie, and not tucked leading it to flare out. Again just my personal preference. Artisan still looks amazing.

That monkey is pretty dope only not as detailed, but non the less a fun piece to pose arround with. I had glued a strong magnet on his ass and one magnet beneath the coat so he doesnt fall off easily. I think thosr hair locks you mentioned could be easily tamed down with some water. Sculpted is good to but for me sculpted reminds me to much of the dx15 i wanted something fresh and new. They've achieved that in my opinion. Also dont think the dreads are oversized. I watched all the movies last week only thing i'm missing is the golden/blonde locks. But noting can be perfect accurate right? I enjoyed all movies btw, even the last 2 where more enjoyable then i could remeber. Only thing i am improving on this Artisan is the hat, that thing is awfull. So i have a dx06 hat on the way.

I'd like to add. I once saw a custom rooted dreads hairpiece and fabric bandana back in the day i had the dx06 i always thought that would be amazing to have, not sure who made it. Now that they actually gave us that option, i couldnt be happier. I think it adds so much to the realism. And also a good thing its an option, if you dont care for take the sculpted

I like all the movies too rewatched OST last night. I'd forgotten how the whole theater cracked up at the end re the Angelica scene. Barbossa is a treasure :lol .

And film to film far as I can tell Jack had more hair, and thicker and longer through the series. Like some scenes looks like there's a lot of hair stuffed under that bandana. From pics don't think I'll.have issues with the fig past the hat. And possibly having to add paint to a hand where HT dropped the ball.

I do think the "rooted" dreads are over-scaled... but the more properly scaled sculpted dreads have that unsightly mold seam.

Pick your poison.
I do feel the dreads are larger than they should be as well. This was a good one for HT to start with. Good practice one. Now any future Artisan Jacks they can perfect the process. Time for that DMC Cannibal King 2.0 with throne! ā˜ ļø
