That’s the Paint Master done by Viola Wittrocka for the production piece reference. The factory team did a commendable job, but they had no chance of matching the one-of-a-kind Paint Master that likely took days to complete.
Wow, amazingly the missing eye lashes, among other things, play a large role in breaking the likeness to me. Somehow the production version sadly does NOT look like Kirstie anymore no matter how much I'd like it to. That's my story and I'm holdin' to it [shrugs].

This may be the first time that the actual preorder images look better than the final product as well.

While I was hoping for a bit more with this figure since it opens the TWOK era, and since Saavik is one of my favorite characters (no clue why 🤷‍♂️), but I think those charges are a bit harsh. As I mentioned earlier, I was crossing my fingers that her paint up would be in line with some of EXO’s stellar recent releases and it was instead a bit soft, but I see Kirstie in the sculpt for sure. Let me get her in the studio and see if I can do her justice. So far I’ve only been shooting her with my phone.

One thing I’ve noticed for sure is that she looks much better to my eye than she does in my preliminary photos. I can’t seem to get what I’m seeing to translate into photography……yet.

Yeah, maybe, but the bottom line is that this appears to me to be less of a museum grade figure and more of a dolly than what was expected. Granted, I don't have the head in hand. Looking forward to your studio pics.

Yeah I can't understand anyone saying this doesn't look like Kirstie Alley. I see it even in the worst pics we've gotten so far.

Well, I can understand how one would like it to look like Kirstie, but from all pics I've seen so far I don't think the production dolly does.

I have Saavik in hand in Virgnia but man, this uniform scares me to death. Looks awesome, as does the sculpt, but I don't want to mess anything up removing the uniform for the away jacket. Anyone done this yet?

Does the buckle across the chest on the away jacket actually buckle?

I received my Saavik today. Unfortunately, mine arrived without the vertical portion of the stand. I reached out to EXO-6, but if anyone here has this part they’re not using I’d happily buy one from you.

Had a Quick Look at Savvik today - my mini no photo synopsis:

The bad:

The larger plastic chest piece (glued on fyi) had fallen off whilst still in package— grrrr disappointing

While the hair is a tad too dark - there are some brown highlights

The good:

the soft goods are amazing!

If you peel back the chest price under snaps (magnetic) the details are mind blowing!

yes the eyelashes are painted! Very subtle painting on the face— looks beautiful in hand and may not show in photos — yes this was the ‘A team’ on this project!

Even the sideburns have subtle very detailed painting transitioning to cheek!

The extra items with the Regula One version are amazing in hand!

The gift (pin) by ordering directly from EXO 6 was most appreciated!

I give this figure a solid 4.75/5 (only niggle was weak glue on the chest box). I will likely use small Velcro fastener as a work around.

I can wait for the Big Three (4 if Khan gets released!)

I'll give a quick review. If you ordered this, you won't be disappointed. The Monster Maroon and the Away Jack are outstanding, although I'm going to wait for the instruction video to make the switch. Everything is very detailed but small. Maybe it's just me getting old :). I really don't see a problem with the sculpt, it's definitely Kirstie. The only very, very minor nit is that I think her eyes were lighter, but it's not noticeable, especially sitting on a shelf. The accessories are very detailed. The communicator even flips up. The packaging art is great and the box arrived with road trip scars but was intact under the shipping material. Home run for me. Can't wait for the rest of TWoK

Stuff I didn't know. I learned that she only had one earring. I learned they kept their phasers in the away jackets basically backwards from a natural draw, Kirk had to flip it around when bushwhacked by David.
