After seeing this photo I think it’s just the same figure with different lighting.

I also don’t think this is the only Xeno we’re getting for a while either. There’s going to be Alien Earth coming out in 2025 which I believe they will make a figure of if the Romulus Xeno sells well which already seems to be the case. Then to milk the money out of people they will eventually make a Big Chap 2.0.

The only thing I’m waiting for after this release for now is Jungle Hunter 2.0. If they do that and make the updates necessary I reckon that’ll sell in high numbers too and they’ll most likely make a City Hunter 3.0 too.

Also this is just my opinion and predictions so take it with a grain of salt fellas 😉

To be honest, the more I look at scorched, the more I see how far away from the big chap design it is. Tube's on the back to short. Head to short, to curved and more to the back than center mounted on the neck, which takes away from the creepy awkward looking creature Big Chap is. I don't mind the lower body, legs and over less mechanical look, but it sure isn't Alien from Alien. It's an Alien at least so can't complain to much but I will stick to the Neca version and wait for a proper 1/6 Big Chap.

I kinda like the Romulus Xeno look. Has more of an insect look to it. Big Chap will always be the best though it’s it’s the OG

I watched this video yesterday after searching for an overview of Hot Toys' previous Xenomorphs:

You'd imagine HT would've learned their lesson about rubber jaws by now since the strands were even snapped in the photos used for the box art on at least two of them. With one he said there wasn't a single box photo where they were intact.

The old rubber suits don't look great either, so sculpted is the way to go - preferably all sculpted.

I haven't made a deposit on this beast yet, but the issue about the jaw is making me having second thoughts.

Really hoping this thing can be left in a decent pose having a new articulated body. Gonna be hard to make him fit in a detolf otherwise.
You can remove shelf out from a detolf as it takes up space at the height of 17 5/16 inches or 44 cm (not including the stand). I have a 2nd hand Ikea Nartrop that I picked up four years ago at $60 CDN and the shelf can be adjusted to the certain height that I want (so no issues for me yet).
