Maybe MoHT's source is Johnny Utah? :lol

The word on Man of Hot Collectibles' street is that Jungle Hunter 2.0 "is going to be announced very soon...it's going to be at almost the same time as the other Predator's going to be released, the Feral one."

"They're also going to do Predator 2 as well."

I heard that too. As I was the one asking him all the questions in the live chat 😂

Could be the use of the Public Enemy logo on John's t shirt.

You might be right, but it's hard to fathom John Connor not selling.

He wouldn't sell in T-800 numbers though and as Johnny said the Public Enemy T-shirt is another factor. To make him accurate they have to pay the additional expense of that logo. NECA were eventually willing to budget him into their line but weren't willing to pay for the Public Enemy logo. They apparently did look into it.

Hopefully Hot Toys has now decided to make John, although they've missed the window where I would have bought multiples for representing different scenes. I'd probably just buy one now, two at most if he's a cheaper figure.

dev, who you kidding? You know you'd buy one then start dreaming of this scene (let me go order another). Ah man, that scene would be great too! (off to order another). ****! That's another fantastic scene (might as well order a couple just to save on shipping). Before you know it you'll have a little army of little Johns.
I've held off ordering the the 2.0's, but I'm close to caving in.

I doubt they will remake City Hunter.

I hope they make John. I think it would look amazing next to their T-800. As for the Public Enemy T-shirt, thete are easy ways around it. 'Public Villain' or somthing similar. Blitzway steered around the Van Halen t-shirt on their Ted Theodore Logan figure. I would snap up a John. He is the saviour of humanity after all!

I think he will be a hot seller.

I think he's a very much an in demand character. This is kind of a childhood hero of many collectors today.

I do think it's a reluctance by many companies to do children for reasons I am unsure of....perhaps because children are rarely movie heroes that will move units. But John Connor is something I think will move units just judging the NECA stuff.

I always wondered what child characters are considered cool enough to move units? Only people I can think of is from the Lost Boys, maybe Home Alone? But the list is short I think.

I can confirm he's been right about a number of things in the past. But don't hold me to this.
Well I will say logic tells us Hot Toys will re-release things because their Star Wars and Marvel sales are in the tank.

It's easy to predict Predators as they ALWAYS seem to sell well. Ripley is a shoe in as is Arnolds.

I will be impressed if someone their are rumors for Arnold in Total Recall or Running man. Those rumops would be out of left field imo and harder to predict than more Terminators.

Agreed....make it acurate.

The green on the new one is bothersome. Maybe it looked that way in real life, but on film, it doesn't look that way.

These things are always hard to figure out. Do you make it like it is filmed, or as it was on set. I think people are happy with the idealized version which would be what they saw in the film in theatres.

As a casual terminator fan John Connor is an easy pass. Only human characters I’d consider is a T1 Kyle Reese or T2 Sarah Connor.

I’m sure people more into terminator than me will be all for John Connor but i doubt it appeals to more casual fans.

The way I look at it is - unless you have a scaled diorama for the figures, you don't have a 'scene'. It's just figures on a toy shelf and the same character/figure over and over again on a shelf just reads as pointless repetition unless there's at least some visual difference from one to the other. It used to be my ambition to have multiple dioramas and I bought multiples of certain figures (both Hot Toys and NECA) towards that end but I've finally come to the realisation and acceptance that I just don't have the space for that nor, in all likelihood, will I ever.

I'm using this dose of reality to inform my purchasing now and in the future.

As a casual Terminator fan CGL's John Connor did the job way back when.

I have him loading the 1911 because Cameron didn't like the idea of kids using guns in films. :devil

I'm even more of a casual Terminator fan now, and have no interest in acquiring any more related figures, unless it was a Summer Glau Cameron.

In the Alien vs. Predator vs. Terminator universe, Alien is prime and Predator secondary.

Yeah City Hunter in the film never appears in clear lighting. In BTS footage/pictures he has beautiful armour with bronze, copper and gold. The HT figures armour is just poop brown.
They also could give him an accurate headsculpt.
For Jungle Hunter they've gone a bit too heavy on the green shading. You can't see it that well in the movie but it's there in the BTS stuff.

Like it's filmed +1. That's what they wanted to show and how it should look. Not a prop or backstage look.
