I think I agree exactly with this ranking
I don’t own the Topo coat so my opinion on it isn’t the best to go off of. I believe a few here have it and can speak on it further.
The Wonder coat is just the wrong material, it’s extremely thin which makes it a chore to sit right, it sticks to other clothing, like static electricity. I just really don’t like it personally.
I believe Holo saw what I meant when he received his set. Just misses the mark.
People say the Kato coat looks thick but it’s the best material we’ve gotten so far, it’s got the right look the coat needs, just perhaps slightly thinner. Going too thin really ruins the shape this needs.
The new Hot Toys coat is actually a pretty good color and material from photos and videos I’ve seen. It just got a lot of the details wrong.

You’re right actually, I misread the comment. Only the vest, jacket and pants are by Kato.

Thickness looks fine. I don’t think it should be much thinner than that.
I agree 100%.
Wonder’s coat is so thin that it can’t hold its shape well. Difficult to get the material to do what you want it to, it sticks to the other clothing, forms wrinkles because the coat has no weight to it, regardless of futzing.
I wish we could get more pictures of the new JND coat in different lighting to get a better idea of color and material.
From what we’ve seen, I believe this will be the best coat to use as the details are more accurate than any before it, the way it falls looks very natural. I’m curious about the height of the JND figure as I was thinking about using this coat on my custom but I don’t know if it’ll be too long or not. I hope it fits well, as I’d prefer to use it with custom shoes, InArt gloved hands and custom sculpts instead of a completely stock JND Ledger.
Maybe this is a bad idea.. but what if it helps to make a coat with the blazer sewn into it? That way it looks like he's wearing the blazer underneath, even if he isn't actually. That could help keep the whole thing in shape, and reduce bulk and thickness.
Though some would still prefer he wears two layers of clothing for the sake of realism, others may opt for what best looks the part.

I personally don’t like the idea, realism all the way.
The blazer doesn’t really affect how the coat sits if you get a good one like Wonder’s or JND. Just a matter of futzing it to where it’s sort of tucked behind the coat with only the lapels showing. The bottoms of the blazer shouldn’t show. They’re both pretty thin pieces that do the job, it’s mostly about tailoring the coat correctly to a body.
Coat needs a squared off shoulder,
flared out cuffs and tapered in elbows.

I did that with the very first HT release. Cut the blazer so it works kind of like a shawl, and then sewn onto the insides of the coat.
Sure works to slim bulk as you mentioned but effs the accuracy

experimentation and see how it will look
wired coat cut areas to give more freedom for draping and articulation
the sleeves will be visible but they will be sewn directly onto the coat so there wont be a need to use tape to hold the shirt down when you're fitting the coat/jacket through the arms
more or less maximum of 3 layers on the torso
getting the squared shoulder shape is easy just as long as you know what you're doing with an iron but it might need some padding to give it that added bulk he has on his back and shoulders
I can make any coat appear to have defined shoulders with my fingers, the problem is most coats fail at giving the correct silhouette. The Kato coat is the only coat that accurately depicts the flared out sleeve cuffs, something no other coat has managed up to this point. Are you getting the JND? I feel like at this point that’s our only hope regarding a purple coat.

yes i have jnd on order, type a set because that smiling sculpt ain't it lol I thought about getting type b for the dogs but just decided to pass entirely
I swapped my order from B to A with Spec.
I agree about the smiling sculpt, it’s unfortunate because I really like their teeth work.
Are you still content with the Wonder suit or are you still looking for pieces?

I wont be searching for old clothing sets anymore, I want full control of stuff i direct going forward. how i like it and how i want it so i wont need to do the extra leg work going back and forth to fix past mistakes
I have extra wonder parts on order to swap around with hot toy's clothes. gonna see what I can bash together for fun with that set then hopefully when I get the chance ill get that head haired and repainted
I intend to do a private run for myself and a few people only, whether its with 2ouble or just z. my intention with 2ouble is because he previously worked a bit with banks and is close to dino so it wouldn't hurt to ask for revisions for his shirt printing to make it darker because the current shirt is too bright (from bank's project)
but that wont be for a while I'm afraid. a friend recently passed away and stuff got thrown on my plate all of a sudden so our leatherface project has all of my attention rn
with the rate artists are delaying their projects because of workload it wont be for 2 years from now and that's me saying generously, I still have so much stuff I want to do but bookings are full most of the time so its a waiting game

I know we’ll never be content with Ledger clothing, though I believe there are parts available to source a good Ledger available now.

probably a nice handful sadly, it sucks when the reality sinks in because you never really think you'll be on the receiving end of it, especially with someone close
its just a small project for close friends who are interested, don't intend to make it go widely. ill just focus on the prototype rn and maybe offer an extra sculpted option for those in the project only. maybe 5 maximum
but it kinda stemmed from me being dissatisfied seeing beto's old leatherface and the asking prices for an old and inaccurate set lol
artist name or not, its still inaccurate. people don't do their research and just throw money with the trust the artist knows everything
I believed the original h studio/jnd joker clothes were good minus for a few set backs like the buttons on the vest. colors were good, I liked the muted tones and vibrant pants. someone was selling it a few months back for like 350 which was a steal look back lol but its a game of kit bash and that just sounds wildly expensive and a headache to source from multiple people. its hard for a lot of people to part singular parts from customs lol

I literally bought yunsil's 2022 funeral bruce coats for the coat, no way around it but its a nice coat
