Not seen anything where he says an email was sent out, so no, that's hardly a shock.
Good on them if they are still refunding the NRD (two months on from the video) - once again showing exceptional customer service and commitment.
I believe the supposed e-mail was referenced in a Facebook post, or possibly a YouTube interview Joost did. I haven't documented every facet of this saga but it was mentioned at some point.

And yes, I agree that offering the full refund + NRD is exceptional customer service...though it's maybe a bit concerning that you and other customers are not aware of the option. Not everyone has the time to monitor the Jazz socials and keep up with all this. I, however, have no life. 😂

The only way anyone would have seen the ridiculous saga is if they followed the "socials" and this thread.
No other company has gone through the amount of crap during pre-production and test models that Jazzinc has, let alone all the nonsense thrown at them by keyboard warriors.

Not sure how that was your point, to be honest.
Supposedly Jazz sent an e-mail to every customer informing them of the molding indentations and giving them the option to cancel with a full refund + NRD...but I never got that e-mail...you say you never got that e-mail...did any customer get that e-mail? And if not, unless they monitor the socials and this thread, how would they ever know about it? That is my point.

You missed (missed? ignored?) my point about this whole nonsensical saga being a storm in a social media teacup, fuelled by Youtubers with persecution complexes, which wouldn't cross anyone's radar unless they followed social media.
Why would anyone think of cancelling (and demanding full refunds including normally sacrosanct NRDs) if they weren't following socials and this thread? I regularly place pre-production orders - I don't expect to be kept updated via email, and offered cancellation and refunds, just because some attention seeker is kicking off on Youtube.
I don't see Sideshow or Hot Toys waiving NRDs when the prototype head sculpt changes during production.

Not sure why you're being so combative. We both agree the full refund + NRD is exceptional customer service. The only issue I have is apparently many costumers don't even know it's an option; you didn't. That's a problem because once the vehicle is shipped there is no refund option per Joost. What happens if some unsuspecting customer is unhappy with the indentations, for instance? They're SOL. And apparently there was enough concern among customers to warrant an ongoing discussion for several months...and ultimately Jazz responded with a full refund option...so I wouldn't call it nonsensical. Anyhow, that's for every individual customer to decide...which they can't do if they don't have all the information. An e-mail to everyone who ordered would solve that. Maybe you and I were the only ones who didn't get one. Dunno. 🤷‍♂️ Anybody?

Never really considered myself a costumer, I mean, I like clothes and dressing 1/6 scale models but not sure it warrants a credit as such.

Now, as a customer:

The "concerns" have been fuelled by social media, blown out of proportion, and exposed people's inherent inability to understand how pre-production works, how moulds work for heaven's sake, all of which has led to this ludicrous sense of entitlement about being emailed by a manufacturer to give people the right to cancel AND get a full NRD refund.

Maybe so, maybe not. Let the customer decide. Oh wait, they can't if they don't know about it.

And my god you're petty. Please excuse any future typos - it's just that you're exhausting me.

You're the one who didn't want to rehash these "nonsensical" issues and yet here you are doing just that. I'm over it myself. 🥱

I'll just end on this: I'm happy for those who are keeping their orders and I'm happy for those who have been fully refunded (once again, props to Jazz). If customers were indeed e-mailed about the final production version (as stated by Jazz), and made aware of the refund option, and for whatever reason just you and I didn't get that e-mail, then it's a non-issue. Maybe Joost can chime in on this if he sees fit.

Anyhow, I don't know how this turned so combative. With the right expectations I think it's going to be a great collectible for anyone who keeps their order. Congrats and enjoy!

I think Jazzinc really drop the ball by moving forward with shipping a product with full knowledge of the indentions in the car. For $1500-$2000 product this is not acceptable. I also don't like how if you voice any concerns over a Jazzinc product you're labeled as a hater. Jazzinc tore down Hot Toys Batmobile for be inaccurate yet when people call out his Batmobile he claiming a competitor company is trying to slander him. The car is beautiful in person, but unfortunately, my eye will also be drawn to indentations smh.

So over it, here you are. Again. Clear you don’t like being challenged, and need to have the last word (even though you’re over it) so I’ll just ignore you now, so feel free to be over it without me 🙄
