EU countries were paying these fees for ages. Welcome to the rest of the word, quit whining
What an unkind/apathetic outlook. How much do most Europeans make annually, pay for housing, healthcare, etc.? 🙄 The preexisting economic factors aren't equivalent. Wishing your struggles on other people is a weird outlook in general.

Yeah, it's a shame. I always considered myself so fortunate to be American, I still do. But it's sad to see the way things have progressed over the last 20 years. The 24/7 news cycle leading into the 2004 election really changed the way people are keyed into things. We ended up with Obama in 2008 as a result. He got a bunch of people worked up and energized, which directly led to Trump in 2016 which got a whole other group worked up and energized. Now everybody here is polarized and looking for something to be mad about. A far cry from what I grew up with in the 1990s.

Anyway, if people think inflation is bad now, just wait until these tariffs hit. As I said, I was already kind of looking at an end game with sixth scale and am just hoping for a few last characters at this point, but if the economy goes the way it seems it could, I think a lot of folks will be jumping ship next year already.

I just really hope Lim gets Nate and John out in the next 30 days, and announces Dutch, Sully, Joel and Ellie...whatever else they have planned so people can plan ahead. It's going to be incredibly important to map out your spending on this hobby moving forward.
I'm of the same mind. Prices in this hobby are already becoming untenable, & while I enjoy collecting, I can't justify spending the cost of a bleeding edge PC on a couple of action figures.

Remember when the top of the line GPU was only like $300-500? I'm pretty sure I still have a EVGA GTX-460 lying around somewhere that a buddy of mine gave me for free, as a first PC build gift. Damn thing didn't have a chance with Crysis, but I freaking tried! lol Those were the days man. 🥲

So true. I made the mistake of choosing my hardware based on game specs & not game specs, plus two thousand mods & a terabyte of hi res textures & reworked animations. There are days when I look at my live action Hot Toys figures & wonder if I wouldn't rather beef up my rig than keep 'em, especially since component costs are only going to get worse.

The Limtoys & Master Team stuff will get cleared out after I die, though. 😂

Movement from limtoys! Hopefully Nate is next

I really wish some other 1/6 companies would do that... Re-releasing figures that have sold well. That way people wouldn't have to swallow the insane prices on ebay for sold out stuff...
I mean, I get why big name brands like Hot Toys and InArt or Blitzway wouldn't. But brands like MT and such could really benefit from it... Just my 2 cents...

1000% Agree.

Again? Lim must have made a billion of these 🤣
And theres another small batch coming! So they released 1/12 Leon, 1/12 joel and ellie, 3 whole batches of arthur and soon Nate. And Connor is yet to get an actual update in 4 years 🤣

Entirely agree. Would be nice for people who joined a hobby later on to still be able to obtain figures of characters they like at an affordable price. I'm just using this name as an example, but if you're a Game of Thrones fan and only just found out about 1/6, it shouldn't be impossible to find a figure of Jon Snow at a decent price.

Lim is smart to keep pushing out Arthur figures. At some point, they need to move on, yes. But if they're selling enough to justify even a small batch, and it's helping fund other projects and RnD on new things (still hoping that female body of theirs is coming so they can start making female figures), then I'm all for it.

InArt especially needs to raise funds, so I would say it really doesn't make sense for them to gatekeep production sizes. They did put Gandalf and Aragorn back up for pre-order quite a few times, and the Legolas window was extended. Maybe they caught on.

I could tell you the actual month they're confident he'll be released in.
Fine. I'll bite on this. It's now December, so I feel like December was the month they were targeting, lol. I want to believe with Arthur out, there's just going to be a deluge of their figures shipping before the new year.

people dont do rereleases because that would drive the demand and value down and less people would preorder and wait out for reviews so rereleases usually happens on mass produced non scalpable products or wait a year or two before the rerelease.

Im usually not against rereleases… but how long has it been since Lim has released anything new?

I suspect all the rereleases would have slowed production on Nate and John.

Correct me if I’m wrong but has Lim shipped anything 1/6 that’s not Arthur since his first batch?

Joel and ellie. I dont know the exact timeline but maybe Leon as well.

It is a little crazy that Lim hasn’t released any new 1/6 in a solid two years then. I think Arthur originally released in the middle of 2022. But that stresses the importance of these later batches of Arthur figures, no doubt it’s a good cash influx into the company.

I’m sure Nate and John sold well and hopefully with Connor wrapping up at some point they’ll have a clean slate to kick off some new projects.
