Condolences to you and yours @Cackling Maniac

I'm sorry to hear about his passing. Another one gone too soon. I just lost Mack (a member of my family) last week to lymphoma. When I'm feeling slightly optimistic (which is increasingly rare), I tell myself that they're at peace now.

Again, sorry to hear about Andrew's passing.

RIP Greygoose. I didn't have too much interaction with him over the years as we were into different things, but every time I did I felt like he was one of this forum's 'proper collectors' - enthusiastic, generous and kind in his takes on the hobby and its offerings. I was surprised to find out he was so young - something about his chill made him older in my eyes. Reading over his last posts in this place I'm humbled by his humility and bravery. My condolences @Cackling Maniac.

Good times indeed. Childhood lasts forever and then all of a sudden 13 years goes by in the blink of an eye.

Tell me about it. I distinctly remember Skiman saying something to the effect of ''you thought your twenties went by fast, well you aint seen nothing yet''. Needless to say he was right. My thirties disappeared without a trace.

But we've just had here a reminder that growing old is a privilege that not everyone gets.

I don't like presenting suffering or tragedy like a catalogue or checklist. But suffice to say I've seen a lot of struggle and bad in this life; in terms of magnitude we're talking up to an including deaths and witnessed a couple of things arguably worse.

But over the decades I have also witnessed and experienced things that ... well they don't "make up" for suffering or loss -- because life is not a ledger to balance -- but remain in stark contrast to the bad and the terrible in terms of beauty, gratitude, peace and outright astonishment.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe."

Life began with your first breath and unfolds with every subsequent one. Over five completely astonishing decades I have found it is good, and it is worth it.

I don't like suffering but I expect it, so with that perception out of the way I can experience life fully.

I know he had updated you all on his cancer journey over this past year. And I saw all the really kind messages that you had sent him. This really such a lovely community, and this space meant a lot to him. Strangers that became friends.

I am very sad to tell you that Goose, our lovely Andrew, passed away, peacefully, yesterday surrounded by his loved ones. He fought so bravely, but now is his time to be at peace.

So this is Greygoose, signing off one final time

Ah man, so sorry for your loss.

Greygoose was a staple around here, and I really enjoyed posting with him.

I had no idea of his illness, I hope he is at peace and your family finds comfort in the days ahead knowing he was well liked here and he will be missed.

I had last messaged him in December and we talked about the new upcoming figures, and was hoping greygoose would see them...

I also remember all the fun convos over at the Monster Hives site and he got me into watching some of the Predator movies...
