I have Cody. However, HT have made some small but meaningful adjustments on the clone bodies and how the armor sits on them more naturally since Cody. Adjustments like the arms being able to sit closer to the torso instead of flaring out as well as better articulation all around.

Also, I don’t really care for the forearm removal just for the light up hologram so much that I swapped the body out with the original 501st clone body. As they’ve shown with later clones, there really is no reason for them to add a light up feature for the holograms.

The original is a fine figure, but it could use for improvements. It would be nice if they included the phase 1 bucket, too
I hear you and I also wish the helmet was smaller like the rest of the clones, but still a waste of a slot, imo. That slot can be reserved for new (hopefully desired) character we’ve yet to see.

yeah I didn't get the Sideshow one cause it looked so wrong
Yeah.. his helmet should basically look like this, more or less:

I definitely see that. I don’t necessarily think it’s a waste b/c I do think the upgrade is warranted, but I agree that there are other characters that should take priority over another version of him. Selfishly though, I’d like him sooner than later 😁

I wish to hear no talk of wasted slots when 50%+ of everything HT does is Batman Spider-man or the 1001st Ledger Joker. If you want to free up slots perhaps we can begin there.

One persons "wasted slot" is the dearest wish of many other fans. Especially when its a character with one or very few costumes.

Those who do not want to purchase clones are not forced to buy them. Just like how I dont buy Deadpool v10.0. Just dont purchase, works for me.

Commander Cody 1.0 is a thing and really doesn’t need a 2.0, let’s be real lol. There’s tons of dated original figures that are in more dire need of a 2.0 than Cody….. just an opinion.

Sure, go ahead HT and make a Bad Batch Cody, but ROTS Cody? Eh.

Cody's body definitely could use some tuning up imo. I think he's much more of a drag to pose than any of the BB.

Version 1 Cody is ridiculous!! Does not pose well and.... Yeah, no posing. Super fragile. I will never forget his exquisite blogger photos and he could not hold ONE of those poses. Not a one! Cody is lucky hes so pretty.

But this thread is about Wolffe. He has one figure, 10+years old? We need an upgrade and that is not wasting a slot. Is the teaser not what you wanted? (Speaking in general here) HT is well known for revealing figures and then tweaking through the process. They even put out disclaimers that what you see might not be the finished product.

SSC Wolffe is very interesting, not least because of the 1000 finicky little parts he comes with, which allow him to be a posing extravaganza - well sorta, hes very loose jointed. But we are well due an upgrade.

I've never considered getting a Wolffe until seeing the pictures here. I think he'd look great with Cody, Rex and the BB. Really pop on a shelf.

I saw this now and it could change but I am very happy with my Sideshow one. I have even considered cancelling my Echo and Fives pre-order and just stick with Sideshow ones I have.

I mentioned this inaccuracy to the subreddit by attempting to explain that Wolffe has an identical helmet to Neyo only to have everyone turn on me instead 🤣

I’ve discovered that, unfortunately, most people don’t care for accuracy. Even if I explained that this was a “realistic” figure they’d still argue how even the RotS clones were technically “animated” so therefore realistic doesn’t exist. People trying to be difficult just to be difficult.

I hope HT fixes the helmet, or at the very least gives us two helmets to represent both looks (highly doubtful), because the BARC helmet looks so much more kickass.

We spoke about this on other socials lol, but yeah people will come up with whatever reason (or excuse) to defend what Hot Toys do. They really should’ve gone all the way and translated everything from the animation to live-action set designs as seen in the Prequels properly. People argue they should be based on the animated style, but done in a “realistic” fashion, but if that was the case, they shouldn’t have used the same armor as MMS ROTS Cody then. It should’ve been reimagined, ground up.

In the end, the whole line is a mess. Hell, even the weapons are animated style.

All I know is that when I look at my Clone Wars and Bad Batch HT collection, I think it looks pretty awesome! I don't consider that defending HT, just being happy with the product representing the series...

I guess all I and a few others are trying to say is that they should’ve looked how we’re describing, not how HT did it. The animation had its own style but certain design details were intended to be the exact same as seen in AOTC/ROTS. I’ve known this since I was a kid growing up with the Clone Wars show. It’s been a while now at this point lol.

They would’ve looked sooo much better imo (and correct/accurate) if they were done right.

For me, it really grinds my gears how they did this whole line lmao

Even if they don’t fix it, I just don’t like how aggressively defensive the community gets over it. They will complain about one thing but not the other.

I’ve always been a defender that the HT clones are all realistic. I don’t buy the “blending” argument as I believe that’s just HT not understanding what they are adapting.

We can also bring up the Coruscant Guard and the 501st Legion Troopers which are technically based on the animation, yet look 1:1 to how they do in the films (with one small detail exception on the 501st trooper).

When spiderverse figures exist, it’s really hard to try and argue that these clone figures are in the same league.

I need someone who’s better at writing than I am to make a post with evidence to show why Wolffe has a BARC helmet so I can hopefully help others see the light.

Just because I’m a petty bitch, I hope that when they eventually do Neyo that they simply repaint Wolffe’s helmet (visor n all) so I can tell people “why does it matter?” When people complain about Neyo’s helmet being wrong despite it matching the CW look 🤣

Just so people can see exactly what myself and @HyperDrive are talking about in regards to Wolffe’s helmet being inaccurate…

Both Commander Wolffe and Commander Neyo have had appearances in the Clone Wars show. Granted Neyo was a very quick cameo, but we still see him regardless. We can see that Neyo and Wolffe have pretty much identical helmets. The only difference is Wolffe has an antenna on his helmet and his visor as a slightly altered shape but otherwise they should be the exact same:

Using this, we can also assume that Wolffe would have the same helmet as Neyo if he were to appear in live action:

I tried to make this argument in the subreddit but most of the people couldn’t even see what I was trying to show.
