Hey guys. The Batmobile arrived safely. It is a beauty and it is really the ultimate 1/6th version of the most iconic Batmobile ever. Joost did an amazing job and so happy to have it in my collection. However, I have this scratch on the back of the right fin. I was told it is part of the seam where the two parts connect. But it seem like a very irregular seam to me and more like an actual scratch. Have any of you have similar “scratch”/seam on the back of your Batmobiles?

It could be where the seam is but that's besides the point. It is obvious the paint finish along that line isn't the same as the area surrounding it.

Yeah that looks more like a scratch. I checked some other people's facebook pics and it doesn't have it.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. If it is the seam, something with the paint was not properly finished or just that area was not done right.

Yeah I did the same and checked other people’s pictures and could not see anything like that on them. So if it is a seam the paint is not done right to mask it and cover it. But honestly looks like a scratch because I think you can see the seam next to it. It is fade but you can see it.

You have eyes man, you know what that is.

Confirmation from us isn’t needed.

Don’t let someone tell you it’s not what you’re looking at because it is.
Yeah man, I just wanted to see if other people had something like that and maybe it is a seam mark but it just doesn’t look like. I did reach out to Joost but let’s see.

Yeah, there’s nothing resembling that on mine. I don’t think that follows a seam between two adjoining parts either. Perhaps seam is the wrong word - there’s a curve/contour above those lights that it kind of follows, so maybe something grazed it along that profile? Does it feel like a scratch? Could it be some kind of residue on the paint surface? Regardless, as it’s in a rather inconspicuous area I would think it could be addressed with some light buffing using a mild rubbing compound, but given your investment it’s best to get Joost’s recommendation first.

Thank you for the info. I appreciate it. I does feel like a scratch and I thought it might be glue residue at first and tried gently to wipe it but I was not able to. So definitely a scratch, or at least feels and looks like it. If there is anything I can do to buff it out that will be great. I did reach out to Joost and he said it was the seam mark but wonder if he misunderstood the picture I sent since I forgot to circle the area. So I will reach hit again to see if there is anything I can do to correct it.

@JazzInc , do you have a response? Seems like a defect to me, but be that can't true because Jazzinc products are absolutely perfect, right?! :chase

Just opened mine up, and happy to report that the paint is absolutely flawless and the lights and features all work perfectly. And I was actually struggling to find the indents at first, as they were far more subtle than I was expecting.

The car is definitely a lot glossier than I'd prefer though. Perhaps not as much as the 66, but very close. But I can't deny the shine does make the car look a whole lot sexier.

The sound feature is pretty terrible, as others have said, but it wasn't something I was likely to use much anyway.

All in all I'd say it was well worth the price, and a massive upgrade over the HT version I had before.

Pretty sure it’s a scratch.
Maybe there’s a way to diminish or hide it.
Anyway you should contact directly Joost.

I'd contact Joost, maybe he can ship you a vile of the paint. You should be able to apply and buff it out ever so gently.

I just found a tiny dent but literally took me till now ans it being on the floor to notice it on the back fin
I did and he said is the seam but I think he might have misunderstood the picture as I forgot to circle the scratch. Wonder if he was looking at the area next to it. But contacted him again and hopefully there is something to be done to buff it out. Merry Christmas!

Man so happy to hear that no issues on yours. The car is absolutely stunning. Love the paint. But I agree that the sound features are lower quality than what I would have expected and quite gimmicky. Maybe if there was a way to add your own that could have been awesome. Merry Christmas!

Glad to hear there is nothing like this on yours Rondesmo. The car is absolutely gorgeous. I contacted Joost and he said it is part of the seam but I tink he might have misinterpreted the picture I send him so I contacted him again so hopefully there is something that can be done to buff it out or fix it. Merry Christmas!

So basically you want me silenced because I'm giving an opinion you don't agree with?:nono I guess you missed the post where I stated the car is beautiful even with the flaws. :slap
