And most of these Youtubers can't even do a decent job at showing the figure.

It's funny. Whenever I seek a review for actual information.... I don't find it.
 
Cmon’ that guy isn’t in the hobby for the details like any of us. He’s just a guy that lives near Secret Base who has a family and enjoys the figures for what they are more or less.

He’s probably just fallen into a pattern of stopping by there every week on his commute. Don’t think he’s modding / kitting stuff out custom.

Are his reviews run of the mill, poorly shot with no pleasant background, lighting or viewing angle? Yeah probably, but I don’t watch those, I just look for his Secret Base footage.

Not singling out MRC though.
 
I think Dean does a good job usually. You can tell he's invested into the thing he's reviewing at least. And he'll admit when he hasn't done his research.

He's picked up this armory, so expect a review on his channel soon
 
I enjoy MRC’s reviews simply b/c he seems to genuinely enjoy the hobby and figures for what they are. Sometimes, I wish I had the blind love for it so I wouldn’t be disappointed as often as I am :lol I don’t really watch for any sort of insight. Plus, I think his reviews are some of the better lit reviews instead of being blasted with a white light from light box.

Yeah I like the close ups and overall presentation quality but it does get dizzying because the videos are so long.

I’m with you, I really like their content. Their “‘23 collection tour” video is probably the best tour video I’ve seen. It’s shot so well and he takes the time to explain the thought process behind it all.
