This is one I am looking forward to, the proto of the figure just looks incredible.


This is such an upsetting and nonsensical decision - why do 5/9 of the Fellowship? Especially considering the remaining figures are Hobbits and a Dwarf whose bodies they will have already done the R&D for Pippin & Merry with Frodo and Sam, and likewise Gimli from Thorin.

Speaking of - what about the Thorin proto

Is he still happening?

This makes me feel like I made the right choice in not getting Legolas, having him and Aragorn but not Gimli or other members of the Fellowship feels wrong and it would bother me. This also makes me less likely to get Gandalf the White.



Wonder what Harry would be considered the adult?
Deathly Hallows I assume? Which I know a few people here want, but IMO just isn't "wizardy" enough to be all that exciting as a figure - he could come wit a few of the Horcruxes but other than that how would you polish up this figure to be more impressive then the Young Harry figure?
Any ideas?
Glad to hear Snape and Malfoy are going ahead, interesting that they are going for Sirius as the next character, given he isn't from PS - would we consider Sirius a major supporting character of the series?
What I am VERY NERVOUS about is not hearing anything more about Dumbledore - they did a great proto of him and now we aren't hearing anything about him being made or if he EVER gonna be made, this in addition to the LOTR news is pretty nervewracking, Dumbledore needs to be the first adult HP character put up for pre-order, he is too integral to the series.



So, let me start with saying how ******* SICK I am of The Dark Knight, the market is utterly saturated - the movie is great, but it would be nice for companies to actually give us something else for once.
Not shocked about Joker 2 - what a car crash of a movie.
Now it makes sense why they are doing BVS rather than JL - limits the line to just the DC Trinity.


Pretty much inevitable once HT beat them to the punch, at least the threat of Inart tackling the line made HT finally commit to new figures.
Competition is a good thing for us lot.



Yeah, these figures/lines are not really my thing - which may be a little disappointing to my inner geek but is great for my wallet.


Not sure why Inart decided we need multiple figures of a world-famous nonce but not a full Fellowship.


Honestly - this is a relief, Star Wars and MCU figures dominate the the industry as it is.

Idk, I boil it down to whether I like the character on its own merits enough to want in the collection or not. I understand the argument that the Fellowship looks better with all 9 members, but damn, Idk, part of me can’t help but think did/do some of y’all even care for some of these characters? Or are they just display dressing and companion pieces?

Frodo and Sam are the heart of the story in my opinion so I think it's great that they're doing them, I think the casual collector will probably be happy with those two alongside Gandalf or Aragorn. As far as the rest, especially Merry and Pippin, I think we have to be realistic and take into account these would not sell all that well, especially if you don't already have EVERY LoTR figure they've done to complete the Fellowship.

At the end of the day InArt has to prioritize what will bring in the money, will it be Merry and Pippin or another Ledger Joker? We all know the answer to that.

I thought you said Gandalf the White wasn’t on the docket like the user on FB was implying… but agreed. Most casual collectors will be happy enough with GtG, Aragorn, Legolas and Frodo and Sam. INART needs and should do Gimli though, cause a good majority of the casual LOTR collectors find the Three Hunters to be the “coolest”. If they don’t make Gimli, they’re setting themselves up for immense uproar I think.

Like others have said, it would be a shame if InArt didn't make more LOTR. That's the only line I was actually intent on getting. Seeing as they already have a Thorin prototype, I just assumed a Gimli figure was on the way. Seems strange to make the other two hunters but leave out the best sprinter of the trio.

Also, if InArt is really considering what will or won't sell, it seems strange to make a figure like Jessica Atreides. I'm supposed to believe Jessica would sell better than Gimli or Boromir? That doesn't make much sense. Don't get me wrong, Jessica would look amazing in figure form, but I just don't see a ton of collectors shelling out $500+ for her.

You bring up a good point I've also given some thought to, why seemingly abandon LoTR for the moment but make Jessica Atreides, Sirius Black, another MJ... Could the licensor fees be cheaper for some of those when compared to LoTR? Maybe? Maybe InArt is happy giving lines a chance up until they stop selling, which is a pretty common business tactic. Let's see, they made Gandalf and Aragorn, those seemed to sell well, so they give us Legolas and Nazgul, which perhaps didn't do as well. Perhaps if Frodo and Sam sell amazingly well they may yet go back to the drawing board to complete the Fellowship or at the very least give people more figures from the franchise, the question is, will they sell well?
