It’s also clear they’re expanding on HP movies 1 and 2 (even Sirius Black from POA). It’s not like they’re scrapping these and moving on to DH2.

The Harris Dumbledore they showcased over a year ago is from Chamber of Secrets, not Philosopher’s Stone.

This just sent spears down my heart..
HT announcing a bunch of Terminator stuff probably has IA scared that they’ll get low sales.

Im surprised that they’d seemingly be turned off of LOTR due to poor sales but presumably expect The Walking Dead and Jessica Attreides to be big sellers.
Are more people interested in Daryl than Legolas? Maybe…

Who the hell is putting down $1000 for a Merry/Pippin two pack?

I’m not collecting the LOTR line but I can’t seem to understand the reasoning behind making a Thorin but not Gimli?

I can’t see a Thorin figure being more popular than Gimli when they are making most of the fellowship

I mentioned it over in the Hobbits thread, but I think the biggest mistep is not doing the Hobbits all at once.

Two skus:
Frodo and Sam, as we are getting.
All four Hobbits, lock Merry and Pippin behind that release.

Those who are going to buy Merry and Pippin are buying Frodo and Sam, but not the other way around.

If they have 15 products scheduled for 2025 my guess based on the listed info would be:
  1. Batfleck
  2. Affleck Bruce Wayne
  3. Knightmare Batfleck
  4. Wonder Woman
  5. Reeve Superman
  6. Reeve Clark Kent
  7. Bale Batman
  8. Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal
  9. Bruce Lee
  10. Snape
  11. Malfoy
  12. Black Myth Wukong
Still leaves 3 but not sure if they’re including 1/12 in those 15. We’ll see if they can announce that much.

I’d be happy if they do decide to do a Deathly Hallows Harry. Ideally I would get him, Snape, and a Gambon Dumbledore if they were to ever make him.
Were they doing BVS Bruce or Knightmare Batman? I thought I had read it was just BVS regular Batman suit earlier?

Collectors are expressing their disappointment in the Chinese thread where this information was posted, some others think it was unrealistic to expect InArt to make all 9 members of the Fellowship.
Honestly the LoTR line could be a case of collectors not putting their money where their mouth is, yes there was a lot of excitement for the line but I can't imagine Legolas and Nazgul sold much given their price, and with collectors being more picky about what they chose and still mostly collecting Marvel or Star Wars, InArt needs to focus on what sells.
I don't know about that. You don't set out to do LOTR without doing at least Gandalf, Aragorn, Frodo, Legolas and Gimli. These are the core.

By not doing these you will piss a LOT of people off. Even just the negativity in collector circles will be loud.

I'd settle for Gimili as a last of the Fellowship and I really want him, but at the same time, if the orders aren't there for Legolas, it's hard to ask them to invest thousands of dollars on an investment they know they won't make back. They probably are just as bummed about it as we are.

  • Game of Thrones Daenerys is still planned, will likely release in 2026

Thankfully it's not cancelled but I really need they to open pre orders soon

I'm excited about the adult versions of HP and kinda sad that Harley Gaga is not going to happen. I didn't like the movie but a Gaga figure would have been cool.

I saw someone say in another thread a bit ago that Kit stated Legolas pre order numbers are exceeding Aragorn. Super strange to not at the very least do Gimli, and now as some have already said they're cancelling Legolas cos of this. Shooting themselves in the dwarf foot big time here.

I'm of the mindset of why tool a Dwarf and Hobbit bodies to only stop with Thorin and Frodo/Sam? Seems really short sighted on InArt if they indeed plan to kill the line.

From a logistics POV since they have tooled a Dwarf and Hobbit Buck why not as well do Gimli and Merry/Pippin (at the very least, hell you could argue Young and Old Bilbo to that buck as well). And at that point you have 8 of the 9. Might as well go for maximum effort and deliver on Boromir.

And I agree with about doing 4 pack to get Merry and Pippin. That just makes sense. Can't think of anyone that would just buy those two and not Sam and Frodo.

TBH, outside Lord of the Rings there really isn't anything InArt is bringing to the table for my money now. Potter I only needed Harry from Year 1, so CHECK. Ledger Joker CHECK. JP Joker CHECK (once it ships). I have zero interest in any TV SERIES IPs. No am I interested in any BVS or Justice League stuff from them. I guess there's still Christopher Reeve Superman but obviously no concrete update on that. And I would be interested in Burton 89 Bats (Keaton and Jack Joker) as well as Penguin (Have Jazz's Catwoman on order so she will scratch that itch...pun intended) but now word on those yet.

Terminator would be the only confirmed thing that would be of interest outside of LOTR that they have rights to. Unless they decide to do any more Horror stuff, which if LOTR didn't sell well enough for them IT/Pennywise definitely didn't as well. So the likelihood / dreams of them doing more Horror like Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th or Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 is surely dead in the water.

So my plan of focusing on just InArt / HT / KP (and a few custom pieces) this coming year has really just dropped back down to HT and KP (and custom). And may have pushed my hand into JND territory since they have plans to do the 4 Hobbits. Guess Ill see what they offer up and I may skip InArt's Frodo and Sam altogether. REALLY unfortunate turn of events today if that be the case. This is of course all but confirmed from InArt that they are indeed canning the line, but I feel gutted like I did when Chronicle Collectibles went bully up and had to cancel their Jurassic Park and Conan figures. And when Big Chief Studios canceled their Gladiator figure. Similar feeling here.

Really hoping it's a poorly worded answer/translation and there are no plans RIGHT NOW. Because they are running the risk of several collectors jumping ship by foolishly announcing they are ending the line. I see a lot of people canceling their Legolas orders if there's no Fellowship or no chance at getting the 3 Hunters. Hell I'm even considering it. But will hold out till there is some more information or some clarification from InArt regarding their path forward.

Also, its great that we have the big three being so competitive with Ledger Joker, but are we now entering a era where its just going to become a rinse and repeat endless cycle of redos? So InArt is doing a 2.0 to make a better figure, then HT is going to do the same, then JND and just over and over again? How have collectors not gotten burnt out with this character yet?
