Really not sure why we'd be rooting for this film to fail.
It was better than Love and Thunder. Does it not then deserve to outperform that particular abomination?
I don't get it either. It's not like one more movie underperforming will convince Marvel to change their ENTIRE production process that all but gaurantees mediocrity.

It bombed and deservedly so because Marvel continues to be directionless with their Multiverse bastard step child of a story, I still can’t believe how they have squandered their legendary and beloved success with the infinity saga.

How difficult is it to give a great Hulk storyline with proper main popular characters, enough of these derivative useless characters.

What clueless incompetent idiots.

I like Mackey as Falcon. BUT, as Falcon. He's great as a supporting character. Neither Mackey or Falcon are leads/showrunners. I think was mistake number one. Just like why Iron Heart will fail. Trying to replace Iron Man instead of coexisting together at first. Like being introduced as his apprentice BEFORE he died. Everything is just rushed now. To introduce the next thing.

Its obvious they skipped over Bucky as Cap and skipped ahead to Sam more due to modern day trends in film/TV over the fact of him being a former assassin. That in itself is all the more reason why Bucky's journey to proving he was worthy and winning over people as the new Cap would've been a much more compelling story. Atoning for his past.

Even having John Walker/US agent take over in the movies, just like he did 1st in the comics, would've been better. Could've even lead to the path of redemption for Bucky. Apparently everything Bucky did in IW & EG wasn't enough. But they also quickly skipped over Walker too and inserted him into the horrid D+ show so he can just be a Thunderbolts flunky. But at least he was a short lived 1st replacement.

So, we got Falcon Cap instead for reasons that don't need to be said. With no real compelling story or hero's journey as to why he deserves it. Cause Steve said so and gave him the Shield.

Well if the Russo brothers hadn't killed off Black Widow and essentially done the same with Cap (turning him into a wrinkled great grandpa) at the end of the legendary & beloved Infinity Saga then maybe all of this whining about these other characters stepping into their shoes wouldn't have happened. In retrospect,

A really STUPID plan when you factor in Tony's death, eliminating half the OG Avengers in one fell swoop. Plus IIRC at that point neither the X-Men nor F4 were back in the fold, so they had to do something besides count their billions of dollars lol...

Regardless, IMO the MCU went off the rails when CB died and they decided to NOT recast T'Challa. Killing off CB's iconic character was NOT the proper way to honor his memory. If T'Challa was still around he would be the one assembling the next Avengers team and no one would think twice about his character's worthiness, plus they could have let Sam & Bucky continue to be Sam & Bucky and completely avoided this divisive issue.

I don't remember him doing anything at all except meeting Rocket and getting dusted.
Well, he wasn't an integral part of the story, but he was fighting and putting his life at risk alongside the Avengers to stop Thanos in Wakanda. There's that. He could've just left and went on his own way. But I'm sure he wanted to make up for his past. He also fought with the rest of the ensemble in Endgame at the final battle. I don't remember Falcon doing anything more than Bucky did either.

Tony and T'challa would've vouched for him to the world. But they dead.

Very true about BP I personally would’ve had no problems with him assembling the new Avengers team.

But BUT…

You are giving the Multiverse saga plot failure a huge pass, it is a narrative disaster.

There is no villain.

There are no Avengers.

God I miss darthkostis lol

Oh I’m not giving them a pass at all but I do think after IW/Endgame people have had some unrealistic expectations. You have to admit the Russos left the cupboard pretty bare in terms of Avengers (remember Vision was killed off too), so without the X-Men & F4 they were left with little choice but to start dipping into their B (Z?) teams to repopulate. Between that, dumping T’Challa and the Jonathan Majors/Kang fiasco and it’s been a lot of one step forward, two steps back.

The Russo Bro's were likely told the OG Avengers had to go because of $$$$$$$$$$, not for stories moving forward. I'm sure Disney couldn't/didn't want to afford them anymore. RDJ and ScarJo were the 2 highest paid. But they needed their girl boss Wonder Woman movie, so they had to bring her back one last time. And then screwed her over with residuals because of putting BW on D+. Remember, she even sued them.

And Disney just let Waititty emasculate Thor into self ruin. :lol

Maybe if they wanted to continue they should have introduced a new threat that was coming instead of just releasing crap and thinking we’d watch it.

Cause let’s be honest. After endgame they literally thought we’d watch anything and accept it. I mean look at wandavision. They released that crap and said they’ll watch it even though it sucks cause we are marvel

WV was great until that huge let down of an ending.

Yea they were stupid to kill off tchalla. Shuri was terrible in that movie. It sucked ass. Did they really think we’d be excited about a teen team of superheroes that were lead by me marvel?
