HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs & Pics

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs & For some reason Hot Toys just can't get Bale's look in TDK outfit correct. They got it right on the BEGINS version, but never totally accurate on TDK or RISES sculpt.

NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

I prefer plastic to cloth in virtually all cases. More durable. And to me it in no way shape or form ever ruins the sculpt or accuracy. As long as it is sculpted with care.

Hot Toys Announce Batman Returns License

No. At the start of TDK, the BEGINS suit is pretty beat up. The BEGINS suit even lost its sheen and sleekeness in that film, giving the appearance of wear and tear after over a year of crime fighting between BEGINS and the start of TDK. I too prefer the B89 suit due to it's roughness, and...

NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

DiFabio's photoshop is utter perfection to Keaton's likeness in B89. I think the only essentials NECA needs to touch on in terms of 1/4 th movie Batman figures, and what would most likely be the highest movers and ultimately the most important, popular and engaging characters from the films...

Hot Toys DX09 - BATMAN - Batman (Michael Keaton) - Specs & Pics

I wouldn't doubt it. Plus the chest symbol matched the at the time being produced "Killing Joke" Batman chest logo. And as mentioned, it was basically a "branding" thing, which is why I prefer it less to the outright original take which was a much more logical and IMO cooler take with the...

Hot Toys DX09 - BATMAN - Batman (Michael Keaton) - Specs & Pics

I know, and I still don't like it. It can be a black bat and operate in the same fashion. To me it seems counter productive to be a "creature of the night" a vigilante fighting crime at night wearing a GIANT yellow oval on his chest. ASKING to be shot. Why not just be entirely stealth and...

NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

Thanks for the warm welcome, and the tremendous dropping of knowledge. Glad to hear the sculptor said he was going to change it up. I'd love it if NECA confirmed if they would make stuff from the Nolan films as well. The Nolan films and B89 are some of my favorite movies of all-time. Did...

Hot Toys DX09 - BATMAN - Batman (Michael Keaton) - Specs & Pics

Mine, too. It's iconic Batman, it has visual elements hinting his suit is made of armor (gauntlets, etc) thus the plausibility but the way they shaped the armor to look like organic musculature makes him seem more creature like and less techy. Plus, Bob Ringwood has to be given props for doing...

ENTERBAY 1:4 HD Masterpiece Series - The Dark Knight - The Joker Full Specs and Pics

I would do anything to own Enterbay's Michael Jordan figure, complete with all the Air Jordan swappable shoes. Here's hoping I can afford it one day, along with maybe a LeBron (if they make him) But this Dark Knight Joker is kind of off it seems. The face is too long, and the chin is way too...

Mattel '66 Batman TV series figures

I'm not a fan of the way the cloth cape looks on him. The Batman sculpt is awesome, though. The Robin is a very soft likeness to Burt Ward, IMO. Kind of similar to how Mattel was disappointing with Joker v1 and Catwoman being very soft likenesses to Ledger and Hathaway. The Riddler and...

Hot Toys – MMS183 The Dark Knight Rises Bane Figure

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure He is quite easily, in my book, a top five cinematic comic book villain. The character tweaks they made make him even superior to his character in the source material. Bane of the comics + the Mutant Leader from TDK...

NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

First post here, fellas ... Go easy on me. This is a loaded post with multiple questions, that I would be extremely grateful if you guys could answer haha Anyhow, this NECA '89 Batman inspired me to sign up to the boards. I grew up with this film, wore out the VHS tape back in the day between...
