I can't remember Covenant. Like ... nothing at all. It left no lasting impression.

There are organisms on our planet that can reproduce sexually but also via parthenogenesis when necessary. Others that can store sperm cells from a one time mating event and reproduce later. It's not far-fetched that the Xenomorph would have more than one way to reproduce itself.

I *wanted* to love that movie. Some of the imagery and set pieces were excellent, but even before they whacked Han (I even gave *that* a chance) the film began to lose me. As for what came after ... well ... the less said the better. I gave up beating that dead horse years ago. So well done...

I love Batman Returns. But I don't think it's a well-made film outside of the production design, costuming and soundtrack. For me it gets by on pure style. I used to watch it every Xmas; think I've given it a rest the last couple of years but yes, it really is beautiful.
