    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I get that you said you don't think Star Wars is ruined, but since it's become a common meme in the past week or so ... Star Wars has been "ruined" for the last 30 years. Lucas "ruined" Star Wars with the Special Editions, then he "hated the fans" when he refused to release the Theatrical...

The Official "Behind The Scenes" TV/Movie Thread

Closer is probably the one film in my collection that sticks out as a "Hunh, I didn't think you'd be into a movie like that" I love the opening of this movie. I think I first watched this when it was mentioned that Panic and Fall Out Boy reference this movie in their songs. Then when I...

Did you ever think it's weird that Obi-Wan chopped off Ponda Baba's arm and just left it laying there, but Han Solo shot Greedo and at least paid for the damage? Han Solo is supposed to be the scoundrel! Obi-Wan is a jerk!

The Three Musketeers Parts I & II (2023)

Part 1 has a BluRay available Part 2 BluRay releases in two weeks. But both are available digitally on AppleTV and Prime Video, from my cursory search.

The Three Musketeers Parts I & II (2023)

Have you seen this version yet? It seemed like it had 'authentic' locations. Though I'm not terribly familiar with French history, but it looked good to me. I could go for an authentic version of Robin Hood. I've long wanted figures of "legends of fictional history", not tied to any particular...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Just for the sake of making the show more interesting, I certainly hope there's another side of the flashback that we haven't seen yet. We haven't seen what the Jedi were doing on the planet. I think there's more story to tell there about why the coven went into hiding. I'm curious about the...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

It makes people feel like part of a group. If you don't like a show, and can see that 65% of people don't like it too, then you feel like you belong.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Perfect example of "no such thing as bad press" Disney suckered us all, paying all those YouTubers to make rage bait, so we'd all tune in to watch the most boring episode of Star Wars ever. Who was that guy that said this episode would "re-define Star Wars"?? Someone take away his YouTube...

Ghost Toys 1/6 Gotham Bat Wayne GH-010

Seems like every new Bale sculpt I see, that scar around his eye gets bigger and more pronounced. I watch that movie in 4K and the scar is barely noticeable, this sculpt it's like a worm is crawling on his face.

The Three Musketeers Parts I & II (2023)

Curious if anyone has seen these yet. They are French films, but I'd read that they were sort of "Americanized", and I think having Eva Green and Vincent Cassel be in the main cast makes it easy for American audiences to acclimate to the film by providing recognizable faces. I'm only familiar...

Man, I bet Hono Studios is very worried about Hot Toys announcing more comic-based figures. :monkey3

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I tracked it down, and from my POV, it appears they are being very tongue-in-cheek, and riffing off the interviewer starting off the conversation by asking them to respond to the claim that this show is the 'gayest Star Wars ever" Is this the problem that we're having? People are taking...

Dang, this is cool as hell. Just came across this on YouTube. I was watching it, thinking "That's cool, but I sold all my figures, so I have nothing to display it with" ... then not two seconds later, they started showing all the figures it comes with. The Tonnika Sisters, hunh? That's pretty...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I watched the first two episodes, and oddly enough, the one thing that I noticed was the film grain. As far as I understand, most content is filmed digitally these days, so I thought it was interesting they went to the length of making it look like film, or at least trying to bring it in-line...

It's almost always resin. Traditional sculptors will sculpt in various mediums, but usually some form of clay, maybe wax, but ultimately that approved sculpt will be cast in resin, for security and durability, because waxes and clays are always soft, some you can heat up to "cook" so it hardens...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Doesn't work because most production heads are PVC which is a softer plastic and doesn't hold sharp detail. We could have production heads in a material that holds more detail, but then it would be more prone to damage, because it's a harder material.
