HOT TOYS QS 1/4 Darth Vader (pic courtesy Seanxlong)

The thing is, a part of the ankle and lower shin is stuck to the ankle peg as well. :lol There's a peg around the lower shin for some reason, where it popped off on both legs. I'm not even sure how the ankle peg slots into the lower leg, but it doesn't seem to want to budge. So I need to get...

HOT TOYS QS 1/4 Darth Vader (pic courtesy Seanxlong)

I have a question for those of you who replaced the bodysuit: How do you remove the ankle pegs from the feet on this? I received my Rise customs leather replacement suit, which also comes with new boots (including the foot inside). I can see that the inside of the boot is angled where the...

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

Now that it's getting darker earlier, I decided I need some more light at my workbench to be able to do some work in the evening. I'm also somebody who appreciates a clean work space, so I cleaned up after installing some LED strips.

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

Right there with you. I buy the characters and look (or looks) I prefer most, regardless of perceived coherence between characters. Unless you want to make scene specific dioramas where a lack of accuracy would bother you, buying "matching" characters is really just a completionist mindset...

    Blitzway Star Wars license

Very cool to see these, nice to see some innovation in statues by adding some articulation! These are not characters I collect, but maybe in the future there's something for me. I'm not a statue collector, but I have a handful of 1:4 figures that I rarely pose, so I'm not entirely opposed to...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

To be fair, before InArt Gandalf I had the Asmus V1 and the crown release, and I still have my customized V1 Nazgûl on display, so this is just the latest iteration of upgrading them to the latest version. ;) Given the quality of these, I don't expect a need to upgrade for another ~8-10 years...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Gandalf and the Nazgûl are actually the only characters I want from LOTR, and I already have Gandalf. So this wraps up the franchise for me. :)

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

Since I had to reinforce the inside of the neck with some more milliput on one side, I took the opportunity to start reworking one of the hands. I love the hands on belt pose for Vader. And while HT kinda includes hands for that pose, both in 1:6 and 1:4 they made them way too closed/clamped...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

As everybody who was reading my recent posts probably already expected by now, I just caved and ordered the deluxe from kit with the sword. What did it for me was turning on FOTR and watching the prancing pony and weathertop scenes. It immediately reminded me why I wanted this in my collection...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I'm pretty convinced the height InArt lists is simply wrong, and the steed is taller than 25cm without base/29cm with base. Here on display Nazgul and Legolas are pretty much at the same depth, so the shot from the front is representative. And you can see that the steed is slightly taller than...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I'm a bit confused by the listed dimensions. The base of the Nazgûl doesn't look to be much taller than 2 cm at most. So he will be close to 36 cm, about 14 inches. That's huge! Does seem to be appropriate given my Google results, and I do view them as tall and imposing, so that's pretty cool...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I still can't decide what to do. It's really the price of the Nazgul itself. Almost $400 is just do damn high. The steed is about $300 on top, which is roughly what I was expecting. So if I get him, I should go for the deluxe as I wanted - I feel it wouldn't make sense to only get the single...

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

I'm currently in a loop of priming, dremeling, sanding and using Mr. Surfacer. I'm getting close, but I don't want to half-*** it now, so I'm taking my time.

Getting Priced out, how about you?

The InArt Nazgûl is the first time in a long time I'm really hesitating getting a figure that I really want because of the price, so I definitely can identify with the overall sentiment here. Having said that, I'm definitely not priced out of the hobby. In fact, I have more figures on pre-order...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I'm very conflicted about this. I really like how this looks. It's a big step up from my current custom Asmus one. And I would like to have a Nazgul on steed in my collection. But it's just so damn expensive. I feel the price is not justified, and ordering this would send InArt the message...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Wow, I guess the aftermarket prices on those two created FOMO. How about the Nazgul, any insights so far? The response here is very luke warm based on the price, but we're just a small sliver of the collecting community.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Do you have to pay import tax and customs when ordering from KGHobby to Europe/EU, or do they bypass customs like OSK? That's a $100 difference, but if I have to pay customs, it would actually end up more expensive in the end.

Hot Toys Terminator 2: Judgment Day: T-800 (Galleria version) 2.0

As always, I'll wait for more pics, but so far I'm not impressed. He looks bulbous and wide, and reminds me a lot of the 1:4 Enterbay, which I never liked much (in contrast to the 1:4 BD, which is incidently one of my favorites). The below full body shot is my ultimate reference shot - those...
