InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Definitely back-sliding in a worrying way with these exclusives. The Dune mouse was fine because it's not an essential accessory by any stretch (to say nothing of the global availability). But the Strider cloak and now this sword are too significant to lock behind exclusivity, IMO.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Sculpted definitely has its convenience, but I don't think IA's sculpting/painting for hair is quite on the level of HT, if I'm honest. All the sculpted IA figures I've seen look really plastic-y and fake -- at least for figures with longer hair. Sculpted Battinson doesn't look too bad.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

Legolas was my favorite growing up -- have always loved archers and still do -- so this one is a no-brainer for me! I just wish I hadn't been an ***** and missed the boat on Aragorn. :slap

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Ironically, it was getting that HT Batman in hand that ultimately made me commit to preordering the InArt. I did not connect with that figure at all in-hand, it's the least excited I'd ever been to mess around with a new figure out of the box. It's not even a bad figure... just didn't scratch...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Yeah, we didn't even get a Catwoman, despite a moderate clamoring for it and the fact that HT made Anne Hathaway's version. Penguin would be a huge surprise from either company at this point.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I'm just hoping against hope for another last batch a la Gandalf. 😭

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS752AE The Joker (Batman Imposter Version)

I will be very interested to see if the printing technique was used here just to produce the exclusive quickly, or whether it will carry over to the full Artisan release. I'm hoping for the former, but I think this looks great at shelf distance, so I won't be completely disappointed either way.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I still can't decide if I want the OSK cape or will hold out until more options hit the market. It drapes better, but it also looks kinda flat in the pictures I've seen. Guess it doesn't matter until I have Pattinson in hand, so I've got a long time to decide.

SooSoo SST-073 Lady Protector (Melissa Benoist Supergirl)

MB Supergirl has been #1 on my list for a while, but I really don't like this sculpt. Likeness is only average (which is to be expected for 3rd party), but it's the expression that really bothers me. Far too serious for this portrayal of the character. Will probably pick it up...

    InArt - Dune: Paul Atreides

My two cents -- flavored with copium, I'm sure, as a rooted buyer -- is that while I will not deny that the sculpted hair has the more correct shape, it makes the whole sculpt look more artificial. I look at the sculpted figure, and I see plastic. I look at the rooted figure, and it looks like a...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I used to meticulously plan my collection around available shelf space, only ordering something if I had a spot in mind for it. Now, however, I've just gotten into the habit of ordering whatever's cool. Don't have room for the LOTR figures, the InArt Paul Atreides, or the new Deluxe Jack...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Oof, this is a painful one to have missed. Praying that Kit comes through with a last batch like Gandalf and that my trigger finger is quick enough if he does...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Well, I'll just put out there that if anyone is disappointed enough in the sculpt, I'm still looking to take someone's preorder! (1-in-a-million shot, but a guy's gotta try, right? 😉)

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

This is what I'm hoping. Besides the headsculpt -- which I'm aware is the most difficult/costly part, lol -- so much of what they need for Merry & Pippin will already be done by virtue of making Frodo & Sam. If the demand is there... well, we'll see. (And if they give it to us, I hope everyone...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Gandalf admittedly distracted me for the past couple of weeks, but I'm still just as excited to get this guy in-hand. I know it's gonna take a long while -- especially since I was one of Kit's last batches -- and that's fine. Patience is an unfortunate necessity in this hobby. I'm approaching...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

Speaking of surgical procedures, I opened up my Gandalf's head to remove the eyes and try to get them re-aligned. Achieved only a minor improvement, though at least both eyes are responsive to the joystick now. (I was getting lazy eye before when I tried to turn his gaze to the side.) The use of...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

I know wizards are never early... but Gandalf arrived a day ahead of schedule! 5 days total shipping from OSK. That's awesome. 😁 No futzing yet. I'm really happy with the hair, which already looks great without any treatment. The beard folded over onto itself inside the packaging, so it'll...

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace - 1/6th scale Darth Maul™ Collectible Figure (25th anniversary)

I'm just glad I sold my DX16 when I did! Not going to pick this one up because I'm out of the PT game personally, but this is a nice upgrade.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I still need to find an Aragorn. 😭 Worst comes to worst, I had success with Kit's last chance Gandalf, so maybe fate will be on my side again...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

Mine's in transit so TBD, but FWIW I got the shipping notification on the 28th and it's tentatively scheduled for the 4th, so that would be 6 days! I certainly hope it stays on target. It's been a long while since I've been this excited for an arrival.
