Kaustic Plastik / Infinite Statue - 1/6 Hammer Horror of Dracula

Brett Holmes was one of my all-time dream projects, back when I was imagining all the character-figures I'd hope to one day see in 1:6 scale. He really did have some of the sharpest Victorian outfits that would look great in figure form, but which particular outfit and look would we want to see...

Infinite Statue/Kaustik Plastik Maestro 1/6 scale line

Conan is a definite buy, and while I don't care for Labyrinth, a fine Bowie figure is always welcome. I hope that opens the door to more Bowie figures, not in his film roles, but in his various era specific rockstar personas. I like KP for all the work they do, but their quality is not at the...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

I was disappointed by the rooted hair, mostly because of the poor quality of it. This isn't the natural fibre wool kind of hair we're seeing on artisan figures today, but something like the thin polyester strands we saw on dolls and other 1:6 figures in the past. At least that's what it feels...

Dune Part Two (October 20th, 2023)

I didn't see Chani posed as a "strong woman" form of messaging (as if that's a thing at all). Villeneuve has been open and upfront about how he likes to have a character as a "witness" who has the disposition counterpoint to see the reality of the situation for us, the audience. It's a very...

    Star Ace Ghostbusters

Yeah, but "the backpack has blue and red scrolling lights, and the gun has lights". Gotta give their marketing minds points for that.

Hot Toys: The Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn (Artisan Edition)

So is this the first Artisan figure that didn't sell out within minutes? It's still up for preorder almost 2 hours after the launch time. I doubt it's flying off the order page anytime soon at this price and with this negligible degree of quality. It's not the most desirable version of the...

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

High end 1:6 figure craft has come a long LONG way over the past decade, so I think these new Ghostbusters are really going to make the old versions look... well, OLD! I never had any big complaints about the old ones, but this set will surely outshine. Alright, to be fair, Zeddemore had a bad...

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

Well, someone just posted this on Sideshow's Let Your Geek Sideshow FB page a few minutes ago.

Hot Toys: The Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn (Artisan Edition)

I think what we're seeing here is the PERS eyes having trouble reconciling itself with such an extreme facial expression. The two just don't work well together, which is why the face looks so psycho (and not Harley Quinn psycho in a good way). The eyeline isn't right either - there's too much of...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Whenever we're left to speculate we're compelled to imagine our most desired figure, which is almost never what EXO-6 decides for us. I don't know, I'm thinking it might be that spacesuit Worf. A figure I don't want or need at all, despite being quite nifty, but it does have the best looking...

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power | Amazon Prime Video - September 2, 2022

Television (or streaming) has changed and serialized/episodic screenwriting has changed with it over the last 25+ years. Simple plots with a monolithic linearity are just not happening any longer. Characters aren't chasing one singular objective to a logical conclusion. Writers are flexing as...

    Art Figures - 1/6 AF-029 Edward Scissorhands

I don't like the sculpt enough to get excited about this. If there's a premium price hike for rooted hair, the sculpt should be pretty exceptional too, or at least very close. This one looks like the best cosplay you'd ever see at a convention, or a stylized animated/anime version of Depp as...

    Art Figures - 1/6 AF-029 Edward Scissorhands

I always praised the previous Art Figures version for showing just how well sculpted hair could really be done, without the need for rooted. It had some of the finest most detailed and most complex hair sculpting I've ever seen – coming from a third party figure at a relatively cheap price that...

    MONDO - THE THING

Yeah, I might be interested. Depends on cost and all. Should I DM you? (Sorry for the delay in responding, I lost track of this thread and had to scroll through it all to find this reply.)

    Mezco One 12 - Beetlejuice

I do pride myself on being something of a BJ expert - receiving, not giving - and think this might be one of the best BJs you'll ever get. Size doesn't matter here, and the smaller 6" just may be better than any bigger 12" size you will ever see.

Hot Toys - Joker - 1/6th scale The Joker Collectible Figure

Isn't that how most sequels work? Sequels are a funny and tricky thing to get right, and in many/most cases they don't work very well in celebrating the brilliance of the original predecessor film. Of course, there are many exceptions, but in general a sequel is the awkward clumsy younger...

AUGTOYS - 1/6 Dune Action Figures (Licensed)

I thoroughly enjoyed the films, but my Dune fever was at its peak back in March/April and has now diminished when it comes to seeking collectibles. I still want some fantastic Dune figures, but I can be more selective with where I choose to throw my money. Let's just say the moment has passed...

Justin's Collection Announces $32 "Figure First Aid Kit" For Sale

You forgot the ever-popular and infinitely endearing "Jacko", the Energizer mascot/spokesman/nuisance, from 1985.

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Gates McFadden (as Crusher) was always what you'd call a "handsome" woman. A super sexy MILF, your best friend's mom, or the hot neighbour next door, but I wouldn't want the task of sculpting her and erring on the side of her chiseled masculine qualities over her feminine ones. This is a tricky...

Justin's Collection Announces $32 "Figure First Aid Kit" For Sale

Sideshow once sold a collectibles maintenance kit. I forgot what was in it, but it was really just a bunch of bulls++t junk stuff you'd find at a dollar store, like gloves, some glue, maybe tweezers and whatnot. I think they put their logo on the the products to mark up the price.
