    Terminator Zero

I was concerned with the interviewer claiming the showrunner was embracing the horror vibe of the first two films, since the second film is far from horror (making me question the judgment and sense of this guy), but it seems as if that was not actually said by the showrunner. I'm not going to...

RATE or REVIEW The Last Movie You Watched.

Garfield (New one): 2.5/10 Try to avoid this one if you can. My daughter enjoyed it but I'm not sure why. It wasn't funny at all, which is probably the worst sin you can commit with a Garfield story. Superficial, by the numbers, and overly sentimental, it feels like it was made for 6 year old...

RATE or REVIEW The Last Movie You Watched.

Dune 2: the Revenge of Dune: 7.5/10 Really well done, Villaneuvre is arguably the best director working today. Acting was really good, story was really good while also being wacky and out there with the weird psychic powers and the worm's poison blood which I enjoy. But at the same time the...

    Marvel Studios : X-Men '97 - 2023

Quotes without context! This DeMayo guy seems like a piece of work. Often talented people have personal eccentricities and hangups. It's too bad when they are the wrong sort and force the powers that be to sideline them, but that's life.

Recently I've come to the realization that Joel may be the second greatest pop singer/songwriter of all time, just behind Lennon and McCartney. The breadth and depth of his work, and the staggering number of hits, really make him stand out. You could maybe make an argument for the Rolling...

Mars Toys - 1/6 Jaws Figures

Great likeness, but for Jaws I don't know that I could do just Quint. Would need Brody and Hooper on display with him, and ideally with a 1/6 scale bust of Bruce as someone mentioned.

I just found out this existed. It predates the Laura Brannigan version. I dig it.

    InArt Christopher Reeve Superman/Clark Kent

I enjoyed that Superman figure back in the day. It was the stand-in for my collection until the HT Reeve version was released.

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS745/745B - Episode III: Revenge of The Sith - Darth Sidious

Yes. This character is the definition of a goofy ham and I think they do it justice. Nice looking figure.

    Marvel Studios : X-Men '97 - 2023

I haven't read comics consistently in a long time, but my sense when I did was that both companies generally attempted to humanize villains, at least retroactively. Batman's rogue's gallery arguably has very few evil people since they are insane. Luthor, like many characters on this season of...

    Marvel Studios : X-Men '97 - 2023

That '90s-ified Iron Man just staring in place was pretty damn funny. Such an eyesore of a suit and yeah, it was weird that those guys just stood around while the world was about to die. Even when the Sentinel humans were attacking we saw some street-level non mutants duking it out but I guess...

    Marvel Studios : X-Men '97 - 2023

I'm not big on ending seasons on cliffhangers, but I enjoyed the episode and series as a whole. Looking forward from season 2, and I hope they keep the late '70s/early '80s costumes for everyone. I also want to see Was kind of comical how the last episode was a microcosm of the season as a...

Sugar (2024) Apple tv plus series

I had no idea Alan Arkin was Adam's father, but now it's so obvious since you mention it. I'm watching Succession now and saw he directed an episode I watched yesterday.

Spider-Man Noir (Nicholas Cage - Amazon Prime Video) Live Action.

I thought that character was great in the Spiderverse movies, but Cage is a bit long in the tooth to be playing a superhero. I see in the write-up that being an aging detective is part of the plot, so maybe they can make it work.

RATE or REVIEW The Last Movie You Watched.

I like Gangs, but don't love it. Like you, I think the primary reason to watch is for Lewis's performance. It is masterful and iconic, and pulls the whole film up. Leo is good, but I think that's my general take on Dicaprio. He's a solid actor in everything, but doesn't typically stand out...

RATE or REVIEW The Last Movie You Watched.

I always enjoyed Minority Report but haven't seen it in probably 15-20 years. Should revisit it. You make an interesting observation. I agree that based on your lists '87 has more absolute classics/masterpieces (Arizona, Robocop, Predator, Evil Dead 2, maybe Hellraiser on that list for me)...

    What are you listening to?

Stern has been a supporter of that band for awhile now. I think they are tremendous, and suffered from not being something record companies could easily package as falling within one category of music or another. Their distinctiveness hurt them, I think.
