I don't understand the negativity, the headsculpt is a perfect likeness, the paintjob is screen accurate to the party crash scene, and the pose and expression is from that scene as well, when he is walking towards Rachael.i think the expression is fine.defenatly better then a laughing or smiling expression.he did not laugh or smile that much in the movie.a quick smile in the bank scene,a laugh a few time during the interigation, and one at the end while hanging.so how does that expression capture this character?a more serious look or maybe licking his lips sticks out to me more than him smiling.

I really want to order this as soon as the pre order comes up...that would be on Sideshow site, right? And to expect around $2,000? Hopefully the payment plan will be very much helpful to be able to grab this!

The expression is still a little more animated in that scene, but I agree with the other stuff you say though, and since this is scene specific, I don't think it makes sense to have switch out parts.

It's pretty blank, it's like there is no life to him, he looks like he is staring into nothing, maybe if they repaint the eyes looking sideways like on this Adam sculpt below would give more life to this. :dunno

I agree he didn't smile or laugh that much but he often did do some weird expressions like pouting and squinting his eyes, so having a more animated one like Sideshow's PF or the DX11 one has, does captures the character more but in both cases doesn't capture actor playing the character. Nevertheless, I don't think the expression needs to be that extreme to capture Ledger as the Joker though. I think the only reason people are saying he should be either laughing or smiling is because the expression on this sculpt is just so very dull, and thus, any expression that make this look more life-like would be welcome.

I see they found a quick fix for the lean lol. Id really love to see this with rooted hair. No price on the tag?

Currently it's not the "must have" figure I was expected (not with a price tag that must be $1000+). Like many here I'm hoping it's a "work in process". But I imagine excitement will grow if and when they show the various switch out accessories, if a different head sculpt is included and if they actually improve that "bland" pose. I still want to see their Bale Bats. Judging by the quality of their current Batman figure, I have high hopes for a Bale Bats rampaging my wallet. Based on the Joker being display now the wallet is temporarily closed.

I have no problem with the base..:) I like the giant HT base..:) Bring it on.. well if it looks good when it's ready for PS....
