It isn't any better from the front, I'm afraid. He's so stocky and they chunky manner in which they sculpted his thighs -- combined with the squatting pose -- is almost comical.

While the JH looks like he's stepping towards you in confrontation, this looks like a toddler turning in the direction of a sound he just heard.

I'm seeing a lot of great detail work, but the proportions and shapes of the body don't evoke the character at all for me.

Easy pass. Maybe the bust will be a more flattering base for those dynamite headsculpts.

EDIT: I like the severed arm, crazy as it sounds. Would be cool to place next to the bust.

Prime 1's got me with the busts. Overpriced as they are, they're not a bad contingency plan if the main statues go south. I can see myself shipping them to a repainter if needed, will be much less of a headache than a 100-lb statue.

Good idea.

Given the number of garage kits & older licenced prepaints I have - I'm a bit spoiled for choice though. I just don't have enough interest in what they've delivered to give them any business on these.

Out of everything they have produced in the Predator line so far, the ONLY sculpts I like ("adore" would be a better word) are the Big Game cover art (spoiled by their paintwork & QC), the Assassin Pred (ditto) and the Sengoku Pred (no idea on QC as it keeps getting delayed).

I think it looks really cool personally. No way would I drop 3k on it though. The jungle Hunter is enough for me.
