They did a phenomenal job with this. 3 portraits, sculpted option, ability to use both sides of the base, and reasonable price. I'm not concerned about the lean issue as Prime 1 has avoided major pitfalls in terms of QC. They are smart people and this is basic physics. A metal rod should do the trick. Even for those that do not collect, I can imagine the awe if they saw this when entering a room. Great job Prime 1!

I read on facebook that fabric superman has a rotating base.

Correct. However unless you plan on spinning a 42 inch statue the sculpted version is in principle the same I believe in that you can pose him front or back but must do it manually. I am unclear if it can positioned at any angle however.

Hopefully popcultcha gets them both in stock they have hush bats they should be getting this.

One minor point. Please please prime 1 remove the ivy on the neck in the heat vision portrait. It is a distraction on an otherwise great portrait. Even if comic accurate unless paired close to Ivy it doesn't need to be there.

Damn I really wish I only just started collecting. Because as of right now I just don't have the space to display this.

And imo the price for this isn't too bad at all. I was concerned it was going to be a little more.

Price is very fair for this piece considering it has 3 portraits and its a 1:3 scale piece.

I agree i prefer heat vision with no vines. It's a great head sculpt.

I honestly can't sleep because I am looking at the pics of this. I mean this is a great looking piece. And the decision to include the the looking down portrait, which may be my favorite, was a fantastic decision from Prime 1. Consider the ivy removal on the heat vision please? This is the best Superman I have seen by far. I was always astonished that there was a lack of awe inspiring Superman statues in this industry when I started collecting. Plenty of Batman pieces but I hadn't seen a Superman that was worthy of being a must have...until now. I may order from Prime 1 just in case something goes awry with SS PO and I miss out, but I don't think that will happen. I have been up since 3:30am, man I need to get my priorities in check! :slap

I am lucky with popcultcha they dont normally sell out straight away so i should be fine to order the day they have it up on their site. It is the best Superman that is out there i love the looking down portrait the most because it suits the flying in the air pose.

I agree P1 should make a creative decision and get rid of those vines on the heat vision portrait. Too distracting and lacks unity with the overall piece

mmdcbh-02s_b25.jpgBack to the ivy issue. I guess others had complained that they wanted to see Ivy's influence on him in the enraged state; however even in the source materials the ivy is a surrounding piece and not necessarily on his body. I get the story line and the vines on the base should suffice. If there are enough people who think they should remove it perhaps they will. The more I look at the ivy on his neck the more it doesn't work. If the body had vines or his hands and this was a diorama with Ivy I get it. But it looks distracting and is too isolated to add value to the sculpt. It looks like Superman got drunk and got a couple of neck tattoos the night prior. I think they need to remove it. 03025685f006e3f0df746eecca8d1d4e.jpg

Agree 100%. From a distance it will only distract the eye. You won't be able to tell what it is until closer inspection which is even worse.

Who's getting the sculpted version and the cape version?

Thought the sculpted would be much more but $1k is a great price. Still trying to decide though whether I want the option to pose plus the flexibility for display with the wired cape and the rotating base, and whether or not that would be cheaper or the same MSRP, but not sure if the 750 ES will hold out until when they put that version up for pre-order... What are your thoughts?
I'm going sculpted. I don't like posing things on my own. Never comes out looking as good as sculpted. Even with the high quality materiaks P1 uses for their fabric capes, I still feel like my Batman with fabric cape looks cheaper than my sculpted cape ones.

I wouldn't expect there to be a price difference. Definitely not less expensive on the fabric cape.

Still the cloth cape for me. Flexibility and should take a little less space.

Are the angels removeable? I plan on having the Superman logo at the front, so not having the angels stuck at the back could save a few cm of space.

The width of the base is kinda insane, thats the part that concerns me most. I shouldn't buy this but I'm just in total awe of it. Space shall just have to be found somehow.

Damn, this is a KILLER statue. How can you be a Supes fan and not want this? Thankfully, I'm all about the Bat and only have enough space for one more 1/3 sculpt in my collection. That space is being saved for an Arkham Asylum/City Bats. If I had ample space in my collection, I wouldn't be able to pass on this. I agree with most people here. The ivy on his neck needs to go. If collectors are buying this and not Poison Ivy, it will look awkward displayed with the heat vision portrait. I think the member that said the heat vision portrait should be an exclusive portrait that can be purchased with Ivy made an excellent suggestion. They already did that with the Arkham Scarecrow when they offered a fear toxin gassed Arkham Knight Batman portrait with the exclusive. It can be done with Ivy as well.

no exclusive means I can hopefully order from my local dealer. I can only imagine what shipping on this will be.

It’s an amazing statue but man....so massive lol. Wow. And I agree with others that the ivy should be removed from his head. Great idea to include it with the Ivy statue.

So that “Coming Soon” is Huntress, yes? I’ve gotta think they would do a Catwoman in this line.

Oddly enough for me I’m more on the fence about the Batman than I am the Superman. And as far as fabric vs sculpted, not sure about that one either. Probably sculpted for me.
