Batman has a rubber suit and Joker has clothes, so you wouldn't see any joints, they should come out looking like poseable pf's.

Hmmm...good point. Assuming the 1/4 figures will retail at around $400 - $500 per figure, I would rather have a PF made of polyresin for $300 - 350 (if I had the option).

What irritates me is I'm used to HT going all out in quality for their 1/6. Now I'm worries they'll leave the best details and care for their 1/4

i thought about this too, but i can only realistically see it happening if they reduced the prices on their 1/6 stuff accordingly. judging by a lot of the negative feedback i hear they got on FB and here, i don't think they could afford to leave their best for 1/4.

i'm wondering though. it might actually be more cost efficient in terms of R&D (if they do the 1/6 and 1/4 scales concurrently) to develop things with exactly the same level of detail, care and research, and then just scale up where necessary. if that makes sense.

You're right regarding those two (possible neck joints aside) but are more visible joints on releases like Avenger's sleeveless Thor going to turn people off at 1/4?

I love how it's going to add options in 1/4, and make everyone up their game though --even Sideshow.

Hooray for 1/6 vehicles! am seriously considering selling off the iron man collection to make room for bats!

Het guys! I was thinking today... Right now, there is no site or Company that ships a package as Big as the 1/6 tumbler to Sweden. I don't know why, maybe because it can break, I Dont know.
So my question is, is there any nice person here on the forum who can buy one for me and send it to Sweden? No responsebilety (spelling :p) on your part and I will ofcource pay you for your effort! And logistics can be discussed later when I know if some company ships or not.

So.. anyone :)? Please :)?

Couldent they Do like a skin colored rubber suit, like the Batman TDK version? That way you wouldnt see the joints.

If they could get it to look right, that'd be better than a full rubber body poseability wise. The 'skin sleeves' I've seen end up bunching up when they joints bend resulting in a crappy look, but those were custom attempts in 1/6, so who knows what a company like Hot Toys could pull off.

At 1/4, rubber figures are going to need to be able to pull off more dynamic poses on a consistent basis. The static, arms-down-looking-ahead pose works in 1/6, but will it be as impressive as it should be when compared to the poses PF's hold without breakage?

With a really thin and really flexible material I think it could look great! :)
But it's like you said, if the elbow area bunches up.. no, not so great...

I told myself the only 1/4 pieces would be the ss batman and joker premium formats....not sure if i should just buy the first HT 1/4 release and see how it goes haha

No way can I start with 1/4 as I've just got my 1/6 collection up to 5 figures.

I'll be in on a new updated Bats, hopefully like the DX but with updated gadgets for this film and a $200 price tag.

Depending on the look of the figures I can def see myself picking up a Bane, maybe a Gordon and a Catwoman as long as it's sexy.

A Ras and
Talia
would be sweet but I just can't see myself getting more than 3 figures from this movie.

One of these days I hope I have the income to pick up the vehicles. :gah:
