If you're not happy with the first three (5 heads) then you wouldn't even be happy if they cloned him, miniaturised him, suffocated him in plastic, painted him and sold him to you.

I understand your point somewhat but to be honest, Hot Toys' attempts at Ledger's likeness have been surpassed by at least 3 different customizers on these boards alone. So I have to agree that HT can and should do a better job whenever they get to the 1/4 or DX 2.0

Those customizers are big batman fans with eyes like a hawk for miniscule details, i'm an fair batman fan and i think Hot Toys sculpts are fine (i own DX01 & BRJ)

But "Should"????... Hot Toys have done joker FOUR! times, that's more than enough for any one character, they should leave it and move onto a character not made four times already, hell a character not made even once would be ideal.

Joker fans have gotten more far than enough from Hot Toys already....

• HT Ra's al Ghul fans = Desperate for at least one figure of the films' (responsible for Ledger's Joker) main villain.

I'm more than happy with the custom joker I have - so just a Ra's will be fine. But I think HT's pride is a little wounded after seeing all the customs of Ledger Joker, so IMO they will certainly try their best to come out with a better version

calling it right now, if there's an SSC EX for Bane, it'll be a broken Bat cowl

I would personally disagree with that. No disrespect to the makers or buyers of the Ledger customs, but the only good thing about them in my opinion is the hair. The likeness doesn't surpass the official HT ones at all (minus V1), and think that the price people have paid for them are pretty ridiculous.

Yes, HT might be able to improve on their own sculpts, but custom sculpts from this board beating the current HT ones...no chance. The only good and respectable likeness in a custom Joker sculpt I've seen is the laughing one, apologies as I don't know who it was crafted by, but all the others don't resemble Ledger all that well. I do appreciate the amount of time and effort that goes into making them, and the end result is far better than anything I could ever do, however I really don't think they are as amazing as everyone makes them out to be.

Curious why you think that? Leave alone the issue of whether custom joker sculpts from SSF members are better than HT or not, do you think HT can't be outdone in the sculpting departing by customizers?

When I said that, I was talking about Joker sculpts, not about every custom sculpt out, just the Joker/Ledger ones that I have seen. So I do believe that there could be, and possibly are, better sculpts out there than the ones produced by HT.

I have already seen two out of the three you mentioned. The one I hadn't seen is the only one I actually like and would say is excellent, Imaresqd1's Joker. The other two really aren't that appealing to me, and as stated in my earlier post, the only feature that I like about them is the hair. There are parts of the sculpts that I can look at and say are really good yes, but the other areas in my opinion aren't, which then let down the sculpt.

Out of all of the custom Joker sculpts out there, BobbyC's is my personal favorite. It's so life-like, even at their current level, I think HT will have a difficult, if not impossible, time trying to better sculpts like those.

Hot toys heath ledger jokers are close but far from being correct.to see how bad they really are look at them from the side or take the paint off.if you cover up the scars it should look like heath and they dont.dc direct and medicom was actually closer to getting the likeness correct.if it wasn't for the bad hair and paint they wouldn't be that bad.don't get me wrong ,I love the hot toys jokers and was so excited when I got them but hold it next to a pic of h3eath preferably one from the side and you will see how different they are.
