I think Bane will be a pretty basic package.

No way they'll do a 3rd Bane figure (if they even do 2). That mask limits the "expressions" a headsculpt can have to one look, and I don't think he'll have a really wide variety of costumes (unlike the Joker).

It would neither be a great seller, nor would it be something that they would artistically be interested in doing.

I think it may be a while until we see either, but I'm just getting hyped up thinking about what will be coming. One thing that I'm curious about is Bane, do they have to pay for Tom Hardy's likeness rights? Seeing as how Bane is in that apparatus which covers 2/3 of his face, would it be necessary for them to purchase his likeness rights with the exception of if he has an unmasked look in the film (maybe at the end?)?

It probably comes with the TDKR license itself. I think individual likeness rights are only kept by the really high profile actors. Tom Hardy is a relative newcomer and not yet a huge star (though he's "rising"). I don't think he has the clout to not have to sign away likeness rights for the toys.

(Plus, to go with the other part of your point, you don't know that we won't see Bane maskless at some point).

And if a certain female character from the League of Shadows does appear in this film, any chance we might finally get a HT Ra's as well?

And what about a figure for that certain female character herself?

She's a member of the classic rogues gallery, has a cool outfit, and has a sculpt that can be used for kitbashes for other movie franchises.

I wonder if Bane will be a DX right off the bat? The 89' figures were both DX's, and it'd be interesting if they followed that format of releasing the DX's first followed by the MMS variants/other characters. I also wonder what this means for The TDK 2.0 Joker, whether or not they'll delay that announcement in favor of pushing that TDKR stuff, or if they'll try to get that out as soon as possible in order to take advantage of the TDKR-Hype Train.

Dx was originally described as iconic characters.ones that don't need a nameplate,you just know who they are.I don't thbink bane falls in thbat catagory yet

At the same time though, If they release a DX TDKR Batman, I'd think they'd also put Bane out with him. So far, every Batman DX has been Batman preceded by a villain.

I'd definitely be interested in Gordon, but if they do a Gordon figure, I'd prefer it to be a 2-in-1 with his Standard look and his SWAT outfit from TDK.

I don't think Bane is as iconic beyond Knightfall and that's it.

IMO Bane's just going to get an MMS package treatment. I don't think he'll have a DX treatment. Doesn't look like he has too many attires so probably mitilitary equipment and the fleece jacket lol.

I could see Bane going DX because the PERS help sell it due to the coverage of the face but if it's a basic MMS, I can see them including the vests, jackets, a complete "ultimate" Bane. Whereas you know they are going to milk the Batman with a new MMS TDKR version and I'm sure a TDKR DX version maybe even with "battle damage".

Catwoman I think will follow the female trend and be a one and done, fairly basic figure.

I agree seeing as Hot Toys are doing 1:4 scale as well with this film I suspect they'll do a max of 5 figures

1:4 scale TDK Batman
1:6 scale TDK Batman
1:6 scale Bane
1:6 scale TDKR Batman (if there is indeed a new outfit)
1:6 scale Catwoman (maybe)
