These prices are getting closer to the maximum amount I want to spend on these things. I've already dabbled with thoughts of getting out of this hobby altogether, but I'm simply not that bored yet.

I think the next step for me should be focus. & trying to resist buying multiples of figures I really like.

yes you right but you have to imagine a fof head with the paint of nowdays..I was referring only the fof sculpt..
I have to admit this paint app is amazing, but don't like the sculpt so much, something is weird about the eyes and chin...maybe it will better judge it in hands (not mine) for sure...
and for not forget... a not posing torso for bruce lee is pretty useless....

Well we can't really judge it's poseability yet. We're not sure what it's capable of. I can see something a bit weird in the WotD sculpt, but it's more good than bad. It's a pretty good likeness in my opinion. You have to remember, at one point, the 'Game Of Death' battle damaged sculpt used to be my fav BL sculpt I owned

Anyone buying the Special Beijing Edition that has the angry sculpt looking the other way?

you'd think by now HT or EB would have bruce lee's head sculpt down by now...but neither company seem to be able to do so...

I thought HT did a nice job with their smiley BL sculpt. The older EB sculpts were nice for their time.

I just got the HT suit version today, and that sculpt is bang on.

I love EB Green Hornet Kato hs. That figure still kicks ass and has rotating eyes too.

I like the Kato figure too, and it looks wonderful with the hat and mask on. Without it... not so much. The face looks too round, the replacment hair is kinda ugly, and the eyes are too big.

ETD ver A + B, and FOF calm sculpt, and the HT Smileys are still the best IMO, and this new one will be joining the top ranks.

Price is a little high, but when we are talking about 300-400 dollar figures... whats another extra 10-15 bucks...~ 2 lazy meals and its back in the pocket.

For me it's not so much price as perceived value. I've spent similar money on 1/6 figures before and been ok with it. But I look at this and I don't see why it takes $435 to get this onto my shelf. Then I think of all the stuff I expect out of an articulated figure and this doesn't tick too many of those boxes. So it's not a question of an extra few bucks, it's a question of there being so many other things I could do with a $435 toy budget. Like pick up the Big Boss figure - if it's any good - and have plenty of change left over.

i agree,for what is really quite a sparce set.$435 is too expensive.$375 shipped..£40 for shipping is kinda OTT (free shipping for a limited time BILL ?).WOULD make me consider this.also i dont really see the waist being that poseable,and why no fight stance type pics,just a standing stance.i wanted to snap this up,not moan and pick faults with it.
just posted on BILL'S FB wall regarding the lack of open palm hand,and a possible repaint of the calm sculpt eyes facing either left or straight....aint holding me breath on that though.

Well, if this has the cyberdyne look and BD look then I'd be pissed off. That just sort of ruins it for all the people with the first release

Really dont like Bill. I posted saying if this includes the cyberdyne gear then it's not fair on the people who bought the original release that this one has so much more in just a year later. He replied with a smiley face...

Bill needs to read peoples comments/complaints,even visit this forum.no doubt he wont,but as genuine BL fans,he knows what we expect, as his ''passion for perfection'' quote doesnt really carry much weight at the moment.all these little flaws/errors are adding up to a lot of disgruntled buyers/fans.''look at the box Bill''.bruces eyes looking right/open hand.have you even given it a thought...err NO.so simple yet a major let down with this figure.i wanted to love this,yet all i'm doing is going on and on about such silly,yet IMHO important errors.

You took maybe my least fav promo pic, mirrored it, & somehow, it actually does look a bit better. Maybe one of those things where somebody changes their hair part to the opposite side, & it feels weird.

Yep, that one's better mirrored as well. His neck doesn't look like it's sticking out as much when mirrored.
