Bold claim about DX12- that is by far the best Nolan Batman. Solid accessories and overall a solid release.

It may be too soon to ask, are there any picture of it next to the QS001? :panic:

I haven't seen any such pics but I thought I heard Dean Knight say on one of his videos he had and this figure is taller than the QS001. That might annoy some collectors especially if the Joker is scaled the same way leaving the QS001 looking too small.

Those stand looks awful, what's up with recent toyish looking stand. How about just give a black matte with metal plate? That's looks much more premium and good looking.

Will need to see better pics with proper posing for me to keep this. Already have the enterbay and I just might sell this to save money. Can't cancel my order from the lcs.

I had to back out on this due to budget issues as I’m in between jobs. I’m not that regretful. This is my favorite suit of the Nolan films but I just don’t trust the rubber material at this price. I may stick with my NECA upgrade the cape and then just focus on the qs Heath Joker.

HT looks to have better overall proportions than the EB version(EB bodies are too long)...but the HT suit is way too black and shiny..making it look very toyish...

The matte charcoal grey/black of the EB suit is more movie accurate...but the bat emblem on the chest should have a sheen to it...as seen in bottom pic..

you gotta understand that it’s technically not grey black it’s a matte black. i own a 1:1 begins suit made with the same foam latex Hemings people used. it’s more black than those prop pics are showing due to the lighting. plus when filming the way the movie was lit it’s made matte black to look dark black on screen. it’s a filming technique. so the new HTs suit is actually more correct to the color it should be for the film/story. in the “story” he’s not wearing foam latex, it’s supposed to be some high grade military armor that he painted matte black. HTs got it to look nice as far as the “story” supposed to be. but if you want prop accuracy only the Toy Fair exclusive is the only that has used a foam latex. it’s not a durable material. For me i really like the MMS67 the best for 1/6 scale because it looks more accurate to what you see on film. i owned all of them and it’s the only one i felt looked right looking at my 1:1. and for an older figure it’s still pretty great!!

this new 1/4 scale looks even better to me in certain pics but gotta wait to see it in hand.

i didn’t like EBs version because the suit felt cheap and the cape was silly short. and he wasn’t very bendable especially the legs. but they did nice cowls. i love TKDR QS!!! it’s my favorite of all TDK trilogy figures but i think this new one might be my fav once i get it because i love the Begins suit!

when i can ill take pix of the 1:1. i posted some many years ago but no idea where they are.

Whatever colour the suit was, on screen the cape looked a darker black than the rest of the suit. The Enterbay nails that contrast perfectly once you get a custom jet black cape on the figure.

Hot Toys seem to have made the suit so dark it has no contrast with the cape. Whether a custom cape can fix that I'm not sure until seeing it in hand. Overall I'm very happy with how it's turned out though.

The QS001 is amazing from the neck down. I just wish they had done the cowl more accurately. The cowl and neck sections look way to long and narrow. I have to display him at eye level with his head looking down to minimise the effect.

I know that the screen suit was matte black(i've seen it in person)...but it still has more of a charcoal black/grey finish to it...which is what's seen on screen and which the EB suit(which for me is excellent and not cheap) captures better than HT...

I look forward to seeing more in hand pics and comparisons with EB :)

I know I wouldn't buy it. It has way more wrong with it than it does right. I also can't stand 1/4.
Then why are you here? This is a 1/4 scale thread but you can't stand 1/4 scale???

I totally see the contrast between the cape and armor. You can see it in the video just posted. They even got the flocked looked on the outside, and the shiny material on the inside of the cape. :dunno

oh well. eye of the beholder I guess...

To some extent but I just feel the Enterbay is better in that regard. It's hard to really tell without seeing it in hand.

KG Hobby are picking mine up soon so hopefully I should have it in about a week. It's gonna be much more fun to pose than the enterbay that's for sure.

I think we are aiming at this kind of contrast:

This is (used to be) my EB Bats with a custom iforigno cape. But, to be honest, as much as I liked the stock cape (heavy, draping beautifuly, able to wrap around Batman, which the HT cape does not...) it was not dark enough and did not contrast enough with the mat suit IMHO.

And, by the way, the silicon (or whatever) EB suit is awesome looking and feeling, albeit a bit stiff and thick. In this regard, the HT suit seems to be better, super thin and pliable. Durable too? Only time will tell.

Anyway, I don't think this HT is satisfying enough for me to spend $500+, although this is tempting.

Bonus pic with stock cape:
