I know that the screen suit was matte black(i've seen it in person)...but it still has more of a charcoal black/grey finish to it...which is what's seen on screen and which the EB suit(which for me is excellent and not cheap) captures better than HT...
I look forward to seeing more in hand pics and comparisons with EB
Then why are you here? This is a 1/4 scale thread but you can't stand 1/4 scale???
I haven't seen any such pics but I thought I heard Dean Knight say on one of his videos he had and this figure is taller than the QS001. That might annoy some collectors especially if the Joker is scaled the same way leaving the QS001 looking too small.
Bummer, well TDK suit looked less bulky than the BB suit, and hopefully the difference in height is minimal.
Because I like everything batman, especially batman begins which is my favorite movie suit? I pay my cable bill on time every month, which generally let's me be where ever I want to be on the internet.
Anyway, I've seen batman begins probably more than any other movie made. The faceplates look nothing like him. The sculpt is poor, might be paint app and the the way they did the hair throwing it off. The cowl is wrong. Suits shiny, gauntlets and emblem arent. The cape clips and bottom of the cowl are wrong. The body ht used inside the suit looks too skinny, he was a beast in that movie. My 1/4 neca looks better than this and yes 1/4 sucks. Might as well get a statue if you're going to go 1/4 or larger.
I disagree with a lot of this. The suit IS supposed to look shiny in the movie and it does. It even does on some of the promotional pics. And not every scene the bat emblem is shiny. Some its shiny, sometimes its not. Below is a famous promo pic thats been around forever, and below it is a still from the film where the emblem is not shiny. They did it both ways in the film and both of these the shine of suit is "shiny", far more shiny than how the EB suit looks. Its all about lighting. They do different things to light it in the movie. And the movie suit is foam latex so you can do a lot with it, you can make it look more matte or make it look more shiny.
For the cape clips, the HTs promo photos do have them in the wrong place, but it remains to be seen if they can be moved down a little and rest on the edge of the cowl like they are supposed to. The movie suit they had ring clips under the cowl and then there were bolted to the suit in the neck area. ButSomething I really dont think needs to be replicated because its just how they produced the suit, nothing about how Batman built it. The EB clips were terrible. They moved around like crazy and were too elongated.
I completely see Bale in all the face plates. 100%. 1000%. just as EBs were great too. The HS looks like Bale too IMO.

Won't know for sure until we get the first video reviews. Should start seeing some at the end of this week. Whatever it is I just hope they scale the Joker with the QS001 as that's the Batman most will display him with.
High prices call for high standards.
This just sounds like someone trying to justify it to themselves. The suit is not shiny, there's a difference between very strong lights hitting the suit to the suit having a shiny finish and any lights, no matter how dim or bright, amplifying it.
The rest of what you're saying is comparisons and excuses from the enterbay. One being more bad then another, doesn't make this good. Also how old is the enterbay? The fact that the enterbay still does many things better than this is just plain sad IMO.
As for the sculpts, the Bruce head isn't the worst of seen, but I've also seen better likeness to bale. As for the cowl, its not accurate at all. It is better than the Ben choi, that thing is really poor. The faceplates are the worse here. None of them look like bale in the slightest, especially the open mouth one. It amazes me to because at this scale, you'd expect it to be even easier for them to make more accurate products, but they end up being worse than 1/6 in a lot of ways. Just another reason i hate the scale.
This.
Even disregarding suit finishes, just in terms of value this thing is a complete rip. The Enterbay Batman and Hot Toys QS001 TDK Batman cost less and had much, much more.
Think about that for a second. Enterbay gave consumers four heads, four heads and every accessory the character had between both films. That's unheard of. Hot Toys was generous with their QS001 too. Three heads, one of which was electronic, all the gear he had between two films in that costume, mask trophies, the works.
This has so many things going against it. It's like the 6th iteration of this version of Batman (Hot Toys MMS 13, Takara Batman, Hot Toys OC, HT Toy Fairs, Enterbay) in high end collectible form and the 3rd iteration of this Batman in this scale (Enterbay, NECA).
12 years and this latest figure has nothing to offer in terms of ingenuity and development. It's a cheap half assed figure with little to no value.

You are talking about morphosis here. He’s the biggest TDK HT shill there is. Even if the EB one came with a BJ certificate from a **** star, he’d still consider the HT one superior.
Wasn’t he the only one that bought the “bat” (lol)?

Doesn't look like Christian Bale? Okay then....

The unmasked portrait is a bit off though I'll give you that.
