well if that's the case, i can't support this guy even though his sculptures are awesome and he seems to be a nice guy (to think i was about to do business with this guy). i believe recasters are the parasites of this hobby and i do not want anything to do with anybody affiliated with recasters

Glad I checked up on this thread again. I saw the images, was interested, but ultimately decided I'd wait for the Sideshow version to come along. Now to catch up on the drama I missed...

curious if he got banned bec. he was trying to sell marvel products without a license or bec. of trying to sell without any intention of sending statues out?

I think it may have to do with the marvel thing!!

oh hell no, i dont pay until i confirm that there is a statue being send out. im just curious if it is a lisence issue because if it is, he would have a bunch of colossus made and no one to sell to which woulsd really suck for him

but it only costs him a few $ to do the recasts the cost is really in his painting and time

Bullseye, correct me if I'm wrong -- but I believe statueforum has a zero tolerance policy for recasters and although these 2 items may not be recasts, the powers that be at Statue forum beleive he has recast and sold licensed statues in the past.

Dave I believe that to be the truth

That is correct D. SF has a strict policy with regard to recasting. We have photographic evidence of substantial recasting of a number of companies licenced product which will be provided to you and Sideshow.

BTW its a great pity as this guy obviously has alot of talent and his Colossus and Silver Surfer would not look out of place in anyones collection.

glad i did not have the necessary funds to get the colossus. I was going to pay him on the 24th but glad someone found out about this

Holy crap - the dude is a total recaster!!!

Check the pics of all the SSC & Bowen stuff in his booth. Never seen anything like that. Crazy stuff man...

God. At first I thought we were too hard on casters but seeing that picture really hit me in the gut. Crazy I know but it really felt like a sucker punch. It really is a sleazy thing to do when you consider how much work Sideshow and Bowen put into their pieces.

What's funny is that he probably started out as a fan who saw a way to make a buck.

Man, I wonder if that Collosus and Silver Surfer are upcoming pieces from SS or Bowen or something. If he's recasting or stealing doubles from the factory, then these might be pieces in production that haven't been announced yet.

If so, no wonder the sculpts are so good..
