I think it looks great. But 750$, all those who thought Prime1 would've been the messiah of 1/4 scale are going to have a bad reality check.

Why does it feel like this came out really really fast for pre-order? I feel like they recently showed this off and all of a sudden it's already up for PO.

The heat vision COH looks a little better but price point seems to be way off. For a few extra hundred you could get their 1/3 and I'm just waiting for the Jim Lee Superman from P1 at this point, can't see it being higher than $899 or $949.

Heck, I wouldn't even buy it if it were reasonably priced. New 52 isn't my cup of tea.

$750 though? That's just crazy talk. Now SS will feel justified when they bring their prices up to $700 for a PF.

New 52 Batman I can deal with, but the superman suit with the shines metallic paint is brutal IMO

It debuted at SDCC, as did the Miller Bats, Hulk vs. Wolverine, the Arkham Origins Batman, and Huntress. Miller Bats and Hulk vs. Wolvie have already gone up, Huntress and Origins haven't. So, the timing is about right, I guess.

The price is crazy when their 1/3 statues are $900-$970.

As a whole it looks good with the ex coh, but for 800$ with shipping that's a no go.

We can argue the merits of a 52 line of statues all day long, but these continuously escalating prices - now encroaching on the price for custom work, and only 20% cheaper than a 1:3 - are ridiculous. I'm pretty sure they ran with the simple math/reasoning of "if 1:3 costs $900, then a statue that is 75% the size (.25/.33) should be 75% of the value". Really, though, how is this hobby sustained if $700 becomes the new baseline?

Yep' too bad because the Pose,Base and Ex Portrait look really really good.

$749 +Tax in CA + Shipping.Over $800 so I'll wait for the P1 1/3 Superman since I already have AK Batman and HQ.

Damn :lol

When I got Sideshow's e-mail and clicked on the link (out of sheer curiosity, no intention of buying this), the first thing that came to mind after seeing the price was "damn, now Sideshow's $500 average on recent PF's doesn't seem so bad". Glad to see I'm not alone :lol

Nice piece but the thing that bothers me (other than the price) the most are those hands. So pale...

It can't be sustained my friend. It's insane. What's going to happen to custom statue prices now? Be even higher? Majority of people can not justify or even be able to pay over $700 for one piece. That's a big chunk of most people's hobby budget for a year.

I was shocked when SammyG sent me the link. I did not in a million years thought price was going to be that high. I expected 499.00 roughly in that area. $749 was like hell no and charging this much for a new 52 Superman? Maybe a Lee or Miller Superman, but even then that would be to much for 1:4 statie.

It's a conspiracy! P1 and sideshow are colluding to price rig on statues lol. Like someone said now SSC will come it with premium format pricing of $699 and everyone will think they're getting a bargain...

And my comment on this feeling early maybe because P1 has shown off so many other arkham statues that still aren't available but we've seen them before this one? Ie. Batgirl etc..

Well I agree maybe this will be the reason SSC keeps steadily creeping up on their prices. Why not have Prime 1 set the benchmark they want to reach. Whether its collusion or not the prices have steadily risen and will continue to do so if people pay them
