So how is this commision going then? Who are getting their figures anytime soon?

Hopefully I should be getting mine relatively soon. I was told it would take 2 or 3 weeks and that was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Any progress report Shawn?

I think I finally decided to get a Newt for my collection (thanks to pjam and his photos)...is this still available? Should I just send a PM over to SovereignStudios? Thanks

It's definitely still available. Just PM Shawn.

Thanks for the response. PM your way Shawn!:peace

Great pics. How about one of Newt cowering behind Ripley and holding on to her as Ripley blasts some alien ass?

hey Pjam, those of us getting the "kit version" have a date when We need to pay soverign yet?Been waiting on an e-mail, and was out of the loop for twoweeks a while back,
so I guess I could have missed it.

Still moving along guys! Been sick as a dog this past week! Damn sinus thing I get every year around this time. I've been making clothing, heads, etc. and setting them aside as I figure out who's ordering additional heads and such. They're starting to be assembled now. The bodies are bit slow in coming; slower than an off-the-shelf Dragon or BBi body anyway. I think Dr. Mego is kinda like me; a one man show up his butt in orders. I'm juggling Newts with Crows and Batmans, makin progress on all fronts.

In addition..... I'm taking a page from the book of our other resident craftsmen: I will be adding updates of new projects as well as ongoing projects in my Sovereign Studio: a place for my junk thread in the regular customs discussion section. So, be sure to watch that. Got some cool stuff coming! "V" for Vendetta to name one. And a few Romero zombies, too! This stuff is a ways off, though. I need to get some of these other projects caught up.

Last Newt Shots...

Before I pack these Guys up. My Aliens stuff has been on display for a year now, so I need to rebox them for a while. Keep 'em fresh. :D

Same shot Cropped... I can't tell you good she looks in hand. Today, I was just staring at her and all I saw was Carrie as Newt...

Pjam, that's a great final shot. My Newt and Crow are in the mail and I am totally psyched about getting them both! Of course I'll be posing Newt holding on to Ripley, that's (dare I say it?) "the" iconic pose. :D

Absolutely. I think the iconic piggyback pose is the most dramatic. Congrats on getting your figures, you'll love the rooted Newt hair, it makes the fig IMO.

These are all coming along pretty quick. I'm doing them all at once. Spent Sunday and Monday making 8 outfits, Tuesday/Wednesday on Batmans and Crows and today casting heads/necks for Newt. I've gotbodies on the way, and hope to ship out most, if not all, of the Newts next week.

It's a scheduling experiment, and it seems to be working GREAT so far! I usually juggle everything at once, bouncing back and forth from one project to another from day to day. Sometimes bouncing around in the same day. That proved not to be very efficient. Anyway, things seem to be rolling along MUCH faster by giving each project one or two consecutive, solid days' work. I'm actually getting stuff done instead of spinning my wheels, looking at a table full of stuff that's all 30%-50% done all the time. Hang in there with me. I'm always futzing and tweaking my work to make it better. Now I'm working on how I work to make that better, too!

STILL waiting for bodies, guys. The website altered the product description. It used to say specifically "8-inch boy body" or something like that. Now it just lists them as "Type 2". I had to confer with Les and study the pics to sure of what the heck I was ordering.

I placed that order about a week ago now, so I should have them soon. Got a bag of outfits and parts, ready to start building up.

OK, finally got some bodies! And they're the right ones, too! :monkey5 I can finally start rolling some Newts out of here.
