Sorry, guys!! I knew pjam had updated here a couple times, as we talk frequently, so I've gotten a bit lax with the older threads. Thank you, SPAWNFAN, for bringing this to my attention. All of the Newt figures will be taken care of soon. There are 8 orders outstanding, 4 will be finished up over the weekend and shipped early next week. I've got the last of the bodies on order and the rest will go out by mid December.
That will complete the list, and that will be it for Newt.
I want everything outstanding done by 09. It's getting too stressful, for me as well as my clients, to constantly be so far behind. I've found a great group here, with the patience of saints, but it still weighs on me heavily when I can't manage everything I need to in a timely fashion. I have to balance current projects that people have paid for with the next projects in line; one eye on the present and one eye on the future. The development of new stuff eats a tremendous amount of time, which is why I've worked pretty much 7 days a week, 10-16 hours a day for nearly 8 years
Happy to say though that I will be done with that in the new year. Hopefully, for a good long while. I've got a couple forthcoming projects that seem very promising in the long term and I have no plans to even think about developing anything new at least until mid summer. That will free up a ton of time to get stuff out to you guys in the time frame you deserve and maybe even spend some time with my family for the first time in a very long time.
Sorry, didn't mean to dump all of my problems on you guys. It's important to me that all of you know I'm not just collecting payments and being lazy. I take my work, and all of you, very seriously. It just takes forever when you're a one-man team doing R&D, fabrication, accounting, advertisement, promotion, public relations, shipping, etc. I'm doing everything SSC does, alone. On a much smaller scale of course, but you get the idea. It's also a weird way to work, going from one project to the next. It's a lot like working really hard to get a great job, getting fired after six months (as the project runs its course) and having to start the whole process over. And add to that the fact that if I see a better way to do something along the way, I WILL take time to make those upgrades/improvements! I can't imagine sending stuff to people, knowing it could have been better.
Anyway, didn't mean to rant. I'm sure it's a boring read but it feels good to convey to someone the stuff that usually just sits heavy on my mind. Thanks for listening. I sincerely appreciate all of you guys; your enthusiasm for what I do, your support.... All of it. Eight years and I'm still amazed and humbled that people all over the world are willing to spend their money on things I've made with my own hands. That's awesome. I'm going to bookmark all of my threads in one place so I can keep on top of things better. And here's hoping the new year starts on smooth pavement!
