As in tomorrow? Or next week?
Remember Scarecrow on display at NYCC with what we assumed to be a complete set of accessories, but then the PO included his grim reaper pocket watch which we hadn't seen before? Although Mondo leaves little to be desired with their Clayface, if they're saving a surprise accessory for the PO I hope it’s a jar of Roland Daggett’s Renuyu cream.
I know everyone loves the Mr. Freeze story his origin story that is...Clayface and Dagget was also a very sympathetic character....
You mean Matt Hagen? I don't think Roland Daggett was ever portrayed in a sympathetic light.
Regarding Jervis... I don’t know. He might start out as a somewhat sympathetic character but swiftly shows his true colours. Here’s a good video on the character and his portrayal in BTAS. And I agree with the creator’s sentiment, he’s essentially a psychopathic incel. I love all of his episodes, though.
Dagget was the one who founded the cream that turned Hagen into Clayface.Jervis wasn't the Hatter? Again memory. Thought I remembered the name correctly...probably wrong.
Pretty sure Daggett was sympathetic. He was using the cream for some reason, but was tricked...and was going after the guy who gave him the cream...again from memory could be off.
Hagen was Clayface. That was it, not Dagget. Dagget was the true villain of the episode.Dagget was the one who founded the cream that turned Hagen into Clayface.
He is never sympathetic, just an evil corporate businessman.
Matt Hagen, he is pretty sympathetic as we can understand his pain, and frustration.
And yes, Jervis is the Mad Hatter.
Absolutely. And Matt Hagen/Clayface is one of the most compelling examples of this. It also flew straight over my kid-head that Hagen was not only portrayed as a queer character, but clearly in a gay relationship. Watching his introductory 2-parter now makes me laugh how oblivious I was to any of this as a child when it was so obvious, but these details also make BTAS such a rewarding rewatch all these years later. One of the things that made TAS so unique was that so many of the villains were often a bit sympathetic.
