He may have been alluding to my Jedi Group photo. I got a little off-track as well, but it was all in fun.

Edit - Oh wait! That was in the Plo Koon thread! Never mind!

I posted pics that proved the SSC body can match medi and HT poses, but everyone was too busy ridiculing some of the other pics. People are just predisposed to hate I guess.

Can you repost them please? I have to admit that I probably didn't see them amidst all the goofing off in what could have been a very serious thread that could let everyone prove their cases.

I think Sideshow buck body can "match" Medicom/ Hot Toys body BUT they are a chore to do and when done, look awkward. That's the problem. Sideshow buck body have most of the articulation needed to copy the top bodies, just that they look weird when done and that's the bottom line for most.

End game and end of story!!

Exactly.

Look, I love Sideshow and 95% of their stuff (why else would I be here?), but the Buck body makes many of their figures LOOK like toys (or "dolls") and more like 1/6 mannequins, whereas Hot Toys (and, at times, Medicom and others) are now consistently producing figures that look much more lifelike, natural and realistic.

It's time for the holdouts to face facts... SSC's Buck has been surpassed and is now beyond dated and looks awkward in many poses.

Buffy don't need no big floppy boots, she can do it even in high heels and a skirt...

I still see a pretty obvious difference. The Buffy looks very stiff and looks awkward. While the Spider-Man is well balanced and natural. Very Alive.

Well the Costume plays a role there too. Big leather type jacket type spandex hmmmm which will work better? Also these are taken at fairly different camera angles.

If you want a true comparison you would need the all taken by the same camera, same light, same camera angle and dare I say it Justins naked figure style. Nothing to hide , nothing to get in the way.

I dont know mark, buffy looks pretty stiff and she cant bend forward nearly as much as spidey can. That much is obvious

How is that obvious, since I dont have either nothing is obvious. Camera angles will make huge diffences, one is take actually slightly below the figure and the other maybe 6 -10 inches above it. That is not a good comparison picture and well yes the jacket looks stiff that says nothing about the body.

dont make excuses.:rotfl

look at spidey's chest, its pretty parallel to the desk. buffys chest is almost perpendicular.

And the spidey pic is taken pretty level. the buffy pic is taken from above and still looks stiff. dork :D

Face it, the Buck is OWNED.

Dave will hate me, but in case anyone wants to use it:

You're really trying to compare these two figures? Blaming the outfit that Buffy is wearing as to why it looks bad! :lol

To be fair, they can look OK standing straight up but still a bit stiff and unnatural looking in posture.

Honestly the jacket doesn't restrict it much. She's wearing the jacket sure but the arms are not what's the real problem. The real problem is the position of the legs and the the fact she simply can't bend forward as much as spidey. And look she's wearing nothing on her legs, so the costume argument is closed. Also look at her head, it's in a very awkward position, Same with the position of the feet. There's no "Flow" or elegance to the posture, simply it's NOT lifelike.

I dont need the pictures to be taken at the EXACT angle to see that. The outcome is obvious.
