Thanks, JL! :rock

That did wonders for the fig. I'm definitely going to give it a shot, as I've always wanted Luke in the "Final Battle" config.

Hey, I've got those same Cambridge SoundWorks speakers on my PC! :lol
They actually sound pretty good with the subwoofer as well.

.

OMG, yes, I bought those back in 2000. Can you believe it? This was the last time Creative Labs sold Cambridge Soundworks speakers for their PC setups. I still use the speakers, subwoofer, and receiver for movies and general PC use. I was really hoping Creative Labs would decide to release a new Cambridge setup with DTS support, but alas nothing as of now. I know they released another receiver a few years ago, but it has the tacky silver bezel look and I'm not even sure if it's compatible with the Cambridge speakers. It doesn't have the individual speaker outs on the back. I never want to rid of them though. These tiny things pack a punch! :D

If only Medicom's Luke resembled Mark Hamill in the slightest. I'd be all over it. The head just kills it, though. :monkey2

I agree with IrishJedi, the Medi Luke head is pretty bad, not to mention the pale flesh colored plastic. Although they nailed the Jango head so I imagine they've gotten better.

Anyway, here's a little support on the Buck front.

No wires, stand or strings, and no his boot isn't superglued down. ;)

Xander no offense but that's the point of our argument with the buck body. It doesnt exactly look very lifelike does it?

The SS Yavin Luke head is pretty bad as well imo.

Xander,

Try repainting the Medicom Luke!
You may not agree but the repainting of the Medicom Luke makes it come alive, in my humbled opinion. See the example...
(I'm resheaching on who's picture and therefore the owner of this repaint)

:lol :lol
LOL. I thought the point of the "contest" is to prove that Sideshow figures can look natural and as good or better than the HT or Medicom body?

I reckon the sculpt is fine, it's just the paint job didn't receive as much attention as Jedi Luke (perhaps because, as some have theorized, it was rushed to make CIV). But it's growing on me.

I was going to contribute some pics, but I ended up snapping the foot off my Medicom Stormie. :monkey2

So that's one area where Buck trumps RAH...stronger plastic.

Still, the RAH is so well balanced that the intact leg is bearing some of the extra weight, and my Stormtrooper is holding a very natural standing pose without a stand. You can't even tell it's broken, and it's been standing all day.

So balance is extremely good on the Medi, a good thing because I don't have the money to replace the RAH base body on the Stormtrooper right now.

how did you snap the foot dude? thats weird...

can you just glue the foot back together?

That repaint makes it even look less like Luke :lol

I bent it too far backward. I was tired and forgot I was holding it facing away from me. Too much pressure on it and SNAP!!!

There's no way to glue it back on without permanently gluing the foot in place.

But it's been a day. It's still standing on its own in a relaxed pose, so I'm not too upset. It's truly a credit to the design of the RAH body that it's still standing. :)

I agree. Doesn't look anymore like Hamill at all. It's just a bad sculpt, period.

They more made up for it with their Temuera Morrison/Jango sculpt, though. :rock

I could just never own the Medicom Luke because the head is a clear deal-breaker. :monkey4

I don't know if this is the correct pose for this thread but I saw this on EBAY.If it's a forum member's pic, I apologize, I just couldn't resist... I don't seem to remember the scene when Luke grabs Vader's crotch?

"Ok, Father, now cough!"

" Luke, just once, let me feel your hand with my own crotch"
