With all the quality DID are capable of, I never understand why they persist in giving their figures oven mitts for gloves...

Facepool do it the old fashioned way and they look so much better:

In hand it's also so much more satisfying to have gloved hands that can actually grip things, rather than DID's un-cooperative bendy fingers, which were a hangover from Dragon Models' days.

It was with the arrival of Buck that I realised Facepool had knocked DID off the top spot as my favourite 1/6 military company:

I’m ok if they include the bendy w/gloves, but absolutely give us sculpted gloved & reg hands too.

Why not just make individual releases for each character? If you just wanted Maverick in flight gear, you have to buy this set as well as the Pete set and end up with leftover Ice and Goose heads and helmets.

Oh yes !!!!! 2 of these for me, I'm now debating getting a second 'Lt Pete' as well purely to have Mav and Ice in their dress white's also,
Gonna be an expensive line this one for me...
Now give us a Viper and Jester set as well

Hmmm. I guess I could go for an Ice in dress whites and not waste the extra body and headsculpt I'll end up with. But you're right, then I'd want Mav in his dress whites as well. Dang it!

Should have done Mav & Goose 2 pack and Iceman solo.

I just scratched a $10 card yesterday.

Received about a dozen figures from Kit in the past month, the rest were losing cards. Alfred came with a losing card, i think the PT T-1000 was the winner.

I may end up buying 6 of this figure in order to outfit all 3 characters (Ice, Goose, Maverick) with and without helmet/gear.

I'm confused - are they showing Maverick b/c the gear that comes with this set is accurate to the original movie while the older Maverick figure has gear that's accurate to the sequel?

They're also showing Maverick with metal aviator sunglasses so is that something they will be updating with the "civilian" set?

I’m confused too - won’t the flight suit in this set be oversized for Maverick since he’s shorter than Goose and Ice?

I guess it is negligible since the flight suit is meant to be slightly baggy and isn’t tailor made to be form fitting like a tux.
