Not as bad, but yes.Forgot to ask...is the coat still that same stiff material that flares out? Also, I'd for sure contact them and at least get some kind of compensation. That is not acceptable at all

Its hard to say which one is better out of the 5. I only ever owned 10th and 9th.Between the five doctors being reissued, which of the original issues are best? Worst? Ranking? Any with just too many problems and should hold for (hopefully and hopefully still coming) the much improved definitive issues? Also I noticed demand seems to have just about evened out on the secondary market. Tom's still going to be the winner in longterm collectability though right? If you could only choose one, he'd be the pick? How did the regular Capaldi turn out? I've seen the red coat limited version and he looks positively anemic.
BigBadToyStore and Sideshow have the definitive figures up too.Its hard to say which one is better out of the 5. I only ever owned 10th and 9th.
4th seems to be good overall. A lot of people seems to dislike the head. I dont mind it and with a repaint looks good. And the scarf which just looks bad. Too bright and not looking like a real scarf. If you repaint the head or had a smiling head + a Yulia scarf you get the ultimate Tom Baker figure.
I was alway please with 9th. Personally i find the head amazing. Depending on how you orient it he looks menacing or like he's smiling.
10th was my first 1/6 figure (aswell as my first doctor) and i was very please with it at the time. But now i much prefer the Brown suit version. The head doesnt look 100% like Tennant, is devoid of any paintjob. And dont get me started on that awful coat. But everything else look good, but without a good head it doesnt matter.
11th seems nice enought. Not my favorite doctor and i got the second version wich is just better.
I never found 12th to be bad. I dont like this outfit for him and yes the regeneration head is a lot better.
As for the definitive edition, 12th stand out the more for me. Its a real improvement. He's the one to get.
If you got zavvi 11th there is no need to upgrade since it comes with the superior 7b sculpt. Unless you are an absolute 11th fan.
For 10th i dislike the new sculpt and the only thing they can improve is the coat. Personally i would just buy the first Brown suit version.
And finaly the sculpt of 9th seems quite good in the recent picture i saw on the facebook group but same thing as the other its not worth to upgrade.
Keep in mind thats just my opinion so all that may not matter depending on how much you like one or the other doctor. And is also biased on the simple fact that i cant get the definitive edition. Those being available only at bcs they would cost me almost 400€ whith shipping and custom fees. Otherwise i would have jumpe on 12th.
The button might have fallen off inside the box?It arrived today.

With the exception of the 5 O'clock shadow being gone, it's a far inferior figure. The eyes are looking in different directions and his vest is missing a button. Oh yeah, and there are no buttons on the back of his coat.
The body has better ankles, but the knees suck.
If you have the original, it's an easy pass.
I'd still contact BCS, as they might get in some more left over stock from Zavvi.Big Chief is sold out so I can't get a replacement. I'll probably customize it.
That was meI think it was pixeltwin who did that to theirs a long time ago. I wrote down the directions:
1 packet of Dylon dark brown mixed with 1/2 packet of Dylon tulip red. Simmer for around half an hour. Buttons may come off, but they can be glued back on
Oops...my bad haha. I remember it turned out greatThe button might have fallen off inside the box?
BCS/ZAVVI must have really cheaped-out when making these. I was wary when we didn't see any production pics before release, but damn these appear to be a right "hit and miss" mess.

As long as you don't play with your baker in publicGot mine in. I think dark knight got a dud . Mine looks good . I’ll try to post some pics after I get off work . I’m playing with my baker when I’m supposed to be listening to a business call
I made sure my lap top camera was offAs long as you don't play with your baker in public
Isn't it awfully nice to have a BakerAs long as you don't play with your baker in public
Some quick pics of him posed up out of the box. The joints on mine are stiff and I’m not missing a button. I apologize for how shoddy these pics are I was born in the wrong century
In the cold light of morning my original impression of the figure still stands. I’m happy and surprised it came out as well as it did considering this whole zavvi reissue angle that we will never truly understandThis looks pretty great to me, or as great as I could have reasonably expected from a cut-price re-release. Definitely prefer this version to the original. Face looks much better, coat saturation looks better, scarf hangs better. Hope I get a good one.
