1/6 Doctor Who Figures - BCS and everything else

Well here’s the thing. I’m one of the two admins there. I can’t talk for Jon, but I have called out those sculpts every time they’ve been posted. I think it’s distasteful and it really does make me angry whenever I see them posted. I was planning on discussing the issue with Jon the day the Etsy store went down. But at this point, it seems kind of moot.

Well I was trying not to name names, but I share your sentiment.
From what I was shown the whole page was awash with people sharing their pictures, talking about it and asking for a link to the shop.

I don't really know if this is the place to discuss it, but seeing as it's the only other place talking about it and there is clear link with the BCS staff on that page, I guess it's relevant to the thread.

Now we know that Matthew Boughen is behind the store (previously employed as 'Logistics Management' at BCS) it's in the hands of the Legal Services Directorate to investigate any misconduct.
To be honest, they might have gotten away with it if they were a little less brazen rather than a public Etsy store with £15k in stock and sales.
It's a large enough sum to raise questions and few eyebrows!

Seeing that season 18 Tom sculpt again makes me feel a little less sad that it was never released.

The newer Eccleston sculpt looks good though.

I did think it unusual that the sculpt was round and full when Tom was rather ill and gaunt much of that season. And rarely smiled at all.

There was (and probably will be again) a "serious head with hat"

I was tempted to pick one of those Tom sculpts up, but knowing that it's been sold by an ex-employee of BCS i just couldn't do it.

If i had purchased one i could have messaged the seller and ask if he would deduct the 30 euro deposit that i'm still owed by his former employers

Same. I would feel gross buying from that Etsy store.

I bought one of the Solomn 4th doctor heads and i have to say i really love the sculpt, it really fits tom from the later seasons. The seller has been a god-send to me as someone who has been collecting post BCS (I bought my first figure the day before it went bust.). So the head has come very much in handy for this season 17(ish) 4th doctor figure.

Hi, yes it is, ive painted 5.5 inch scale figures for years but i recently moved to 1/6 scale figures and found it much easier, ive also been somewhat of a lurker on this forum and learnt a thing or two from some of the posters on here

I have finally finished my 1/6 custom 6th doctor, using the prototype big chief head which i bought from Kitbash Corner. The clothes were purchased unleashed viper commisions on facebook and the shoes are a pair of custom 3D sculpted shoes designed by myself.

(the Boots are available from my Cults 3D if anyone is interested - the_eccentric_polymath on Cults3d)

thought id share with the group a little project im working on, i thought it would belong in the big chief thread but if it doesnt please say and ill delete it, its a 1/6 scale war doctor head, for those who didnt manage to get the john hurt figure like myself. i have sculpted it to work like the heads you can get from Kitbash on etsy so it does include the neck, i will be posting it to my Cults3d once ive finished the test print

Very nice work, and that 6th Dr sculpt looks fantastic!

A shame it never made it into production before BC went under.
