Looks fantastic in all the pics:) I'm hoping to have it in a few wks. Might make custom so i can display both heads.Gonna try and do the early bed-gown look from robot as it might be the easiest to put together. I also love those early scenes where baker is at his bonkers best..

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

I had that Denys Fisher figure. It was pretty good for a mego. Sold it years ago and kind of regret it. At this point, I don't see myself rebuying it with both Bif Bang Pow and Big Chief's Tom Baker figures.

Did you guys hear that Bif Bang Pow was all set to produce repros of the DF/Mego line but then lost the license. They haven't ruled out doing it in the future...

Didn't hear that. I remember they had a bunch of prototypes, like David Tennant and several other characters from Tom Baker's era. Too bad they lost the license.

They should have done that in the first place. Their "retro" Mego-style figures were awful especially their "cardboard" TARDIS. They also didn't sell very well. Entertainment Earth has been practically giving them away every chance they can.

For those not on the BCS Fans Facebook page - I recently completed my Fourth Doctor upgrade with a custom-made coat and waistcoat from GeeWhiz Customs and a fantastic new scarf from a very skilled miniature knitter here in the UK.
Really pleased with the outcome as I think it now shows off the lovely new grinning head sculpt to the best advantage...

(If the pics come out too big - apologies - never can get the hang of posting pics on forums :-S)

Custom coat is made from a deep wine coloured chenille used for the paw pads of miniature teddy bears, though like the original coat it can look a bit brown in front of the camera. Waistcoat pattern was rejigged from a full-sized cosplay run and custom printed on a plush-textured polyester fabric to simulate the printed velvet of the original...

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

I never realised until recently that PE had actually made any of the Voc or Linx statues, I was told at the time that the entire run had been cancelled, but apparently they made a very limited run for (some) people who paid up front. I already purchased both Tom and the Cybermen statues, and I so wanted that Linx statue, too, but all I got was a refund and news that the line was being cancelled. Voc looks like he turned out nice, too. Was planning on getting that eventually, too, after Linx. But, ah, well....

Apparently they made a limited run of fifteen of each. They're not as sturdy as the 4th Doc or Cybermen statues as they seem to be cast in a fairly lightweight material. The details are simply handwritten on the underside of the plinth.
Still a nice piece though - just picked it up recently on secondary market and he needed his legs repaired but managed this fairly easily.
