That looks great you might be faster then me and Snow. LOL Keep up the great work and keep those pics coming.

did a quick mod on my mock-up. Had to shorten the chair.. canopy was too high up...But I did get some styrene this morning among other supplies and am ready to go plastic!.... fyi: Dorgmal I did visit that link you posted for hobby supplies(thanks)... cool site, but turns out I found a great local rc hobby shop that carries a full line of Evergreen sheet styrene products....Lopie if you read this post, are those square or rectangular led lights on your throne because man do they look awsome!...and if so where could i get some?

cheers guys.....will check in soon.......:banana

Splendid stuff Fia, looks great. Styrene is so cool.

The light Lopie used where from an old remote control handset I think. I asked him about them a while back because I too think they are very cool.

I want to get back on with my throne soon.

Keep them pics coming old chap.

Hey Snow found some great reference pics off of rebelscum....Now I know you and Lopie are way farther along than me but I think these pics are great for detail and color reference....also has great shot of base!

sorry I joined so late in this thread but If anyone out there reads this and wants to make there own throne these pics will be great reference material

Later.....:chew :emperor

Hey Fia
Snow is right I got the yellow buttons from an old remote, and I glued the Leds to the back of the lights. The red lights are us low light LEDs. I'll post the pics of how I did it when I get home tonight.

Great pics Fia, perfect in fact. I needed an image of the inside switch. I might not use the leds in mine now!

Dorgmal

The inside is just a clip that help the light saber. No light needed; however there is one on the left and right side of the throne.

First off......Dorgmal Snow.....what can I say except ...You rock...the chair padding looks so cool...May I ask what you used?

:rock

secondly I finally got cracking with the styrene...it's certainly been a challenge trying to work out such dynamic shapes .....it's a start but more to come.... cheers!

:banghead

Looking good so far Fia.
Yeah the cushion looks ok, I was quite pleased. i used super sculpty, which is a polymer clay like fimo. its so useful.
Just got the base to finished and a few details.....

Dorgmal

finally got some work done, although not much(busy couple of weeks at work).... still a ways to go. Found some red leds from a broken hallmark ornament that I'm going to use for the control panel.Overall I'm quite pleased with the flow of the contours. After all, it's tough trying to build such complex shapes with flat peices of styrene... Gonna need alot of Putty!

...until next progress report....LATER! :naughty

Looking good. Those curves are nothing but trouble, but thats what makes it fun!
Dorgmal

I use to have a full head of hair prior to this project. Sometimes I just have to put it down for a few days and come back to it with fresh eyes, and that always helps. And Your right Snow the curves are trouble, but its what makes the throne. Fia your lights look great.

Wow, been a while since anyone posted on this thread... Anywho, I decided to start again because I wasn't happy with the overall look of chair 1. I've decided to go to v-2.0. Much happier with the overall look; shape is far more dynamic looking now....

Probably woud've been done by now, but what is a perfectionist to do....

p.s. Cmon people I wanna see thrones!!! (Snow and Loopie exempted)

Will post again soon...Later All!
