Mine don't seem to have changed much. I took these photos this morning:

He's spent his life in the windlowless, humidity controlled collection room.

I searched the thread and found the photos I took the day he arrived:

I'm not sure whether he's even changed at all. The original photo was with the old camera and heavy with the flash.

It's disappointing to read all of these reports of pouches turning brown. I've always told myself if I ever downsize my 1/6 collection, the HT ROTJ Scout and Speeder Bike aren't going anywhere. It's my favorite trooper after all. But dang, I'm not so sure now. I don't mind a weathered look, but the pouches will look awful once the white paint has evaporated.

I wonder how my SS ROTJ Scout is fairing in storage? I'm kind of glad I hung onto that one.
Yeah it really does look bad in person. Black and white design with two tan pouches… I listed it for sale, I don’t want it anymore lol.

They must've forgot to separate their whites from colors on laundry day... :slap

Or when they are on patrol they use their pouches when they need to go #2. And they eventually stained from use..

SO many explanations... :lol

Hopefully someone comes up with an easy fix.

I sold mine a while ago, mainly as the gap in the helmet annoyed me. Shame to now see the discoloured pouches.

I used 40% peroxide cream on mine and a ultraviolet light for a few hours to whiten mine, similar process I use to whiten Ghostface masks
I still believe a good textile paint might be the best solution for long term. Don't have time to look for one yet, but once will do and find one the Scout pouches will get repainted.

The Scout on the left has a more brown color on his pouches compared to the right one that came with the bike. Quite a difference in hand, hard to see in photos though. I believe there were different batches of Scouts. There is no natural light in my collection room, all light is LED, same temperature and humidity over the year.

Looks like the white paint has simply evaporated, the canvas showing its original color. This invention used by HT can revolutionize the paint industry. :lecture Have a white t-shirt which after a couple years transforms into a brand new brown t-shirt.

I don't have the time now, but we need to be looking for some white fabric paint to repaint these pouches in the near future, before they turn dark brown like Bantha poodoo (or Ewok poodoo)
Never took my scout out of the box, I just wanted the bike. If it's a problem I'll try the dilute bleach solution - and check whatever padding they used.

Of course I forgot to take a before photo but I successfully removed some yellowing around the shirt opening on a spare TFA Han shirt using peroxide. Used a q-tip a few times and left it by the window in the sun for a couple days. Wire was removed a long time ago.

The one on the left I actually thought barely had any discoloration but you can see the peroxide one on the right now looks better.

I'll try the Scout pouches soon.

I know this will sound crazy, but I pulled my Sideshow Scout Trooper out of storage today and ended up putting it on display and the Hot Toys Scout Trooper back into its box, and into storage. I didn't think it was possible to prefer an older Sideshow figure over its more recent Hot Toys iteration, but I do for a few reasons:

1) No discolored pouches. Might aren't as bad as some, but I still can't unsee them.
2) No gap on the helmet seam.
3) Better boots on the Sideshow Scout...I always found the thin fabric boot calves/shins with plastic vamps to be odd looking. I understand why they did it that way, but a set of one piece boots would've been a nice accessory for when not on the Speeder Bike.

The Sideshow Scout is bulkier, especially next to other Hot Toys troopers, and the boots and gloves don't offer anything in terms of flexibility to aid with posing, but with all that in mind, I still prefer it. I'll need to decide if I want to hang onto the Hot Toys Scout and Speeder Bike (which is currently on display with the Sideshow Scout), or sell it before Hot Toys announces an improved re-issue and the value for the current version plummets :lol

Edit: I should clarify that by bulkier, I actually meant disproportionate. The Sideshow Scout is actually a tad shorter than the Hot Toys Scout, but appears disproportionate when next to other troopers.

Got mine a couple of days ago. Will report back of any changes to color.
