a total resculpt 'd wait another year for. They can skip the **** probe expression and keep it neutral and I'd be much happier.

Oh also they can change his outfit to part 1 while they are at it

Yeah I'm thinking this needs a complete resculpt as well. And there's really no need for the open mouth. All you really need for Doc are just those big, crazy looking eyes of his.

The whining never ceases to amaze me. Hot Toys needs to do sculpts with expressions rather than dead stares. Hot Toys does what's asked now we want the opposite.

Well when the expression turns out like that, then yeah.

And I'd say the pic I posted above still has him being pretty darn expressive. It's nothing like the dull, lifeless gaze we usually get from HT.

There's always the Eaglemoss one is pretty amazing looking. It's 1/5th scale and comes out being more expensive but if I could could do it over again I would get that and pass on the Hot Toys one.

I'm fine on waiting for Doc if we can get a resculpt. If the expression comes out better, then I'm good too. I have to support this figure either way.

Its actually 1/8th scale but its still pretty nice

Yeah the Eaglemoss does look very cool, especially with all the extra lights and features built into it. But given that most of my collection is 1/6, there's something about having a DeLorean at that same scale that I just find a bit cooler. And having a 1/6 Marty you can put alongside it makes it even better.

Oh wow you're right. At first I thought they just had the wheels down, but checking out some youtube videos it's clearly the first version car. I guess they no longer want to get people's hopes up about the hover version being released.

Hot Toys' greed is to blame. All they had to do was release 1 version to cover part 1 and 2. All that was required was the folding wheels (the tooling was already in place) and a removable Mr Fusion. Now 2015 Marty and Doc are stuck with a car from 1985. Stupid.

It’s not like the vehicle drastically changes in appearance. You can still use the DeLorean that’s out with these figures. Main thing missing that’s noticeable is Mr. Fusion. The hover wheels while cool wouldn’t make or break a display for me if I had the DeLorean. Actually if you think about it in terms of screen accuracy I don’t think there’s a scene in the film where the car is hovering where they’re both in these outfits.

I really don't think they are going to release the hover version. I'm okay with using the part one DeLorean if there is a way to get a custom mr fusion.

I'm pretty sure the hover version requires separate 2nd movie license from Universal. Maybe there's some untold behind story..
