I really don't think they are going to release the hover version. I'm okay with using the part one DeLorean if there is a way to get a custom mr fusion.

Yeah that's what I'm on the lookout for as well. The wheels are easy enough to modify and scratchbuild some extra parts for, but a Mr Fusion would be a bit trickier to make. Maybe now that it's looking less likely we'll get an official version, someone here will create a custom thread for some hover parts...

I would think a Mr. Fusion would be easier to make than modding the wheels.

There's also a number of small differences in the hardware in the back between Part 1 and Part 2 (3 as well) not just a tacked on Mr Fusion and hover wheels. Someone would have to do a lot to be able to make the mod easy and worthwhile without causing permanent damage.

Yeah, but really Mr. Fusion is the most noticeable thing. If someone could just make it you could affix it to the current backing as is.

I'm pretty sure the hover version requires separate 2nd movie license from Universal. Maybe there's some untold behind story..

I would agree. Look at those diamond select 1/15th light up/sound deloreans. The part 1 car is labelled as part 2. There is no part 1 branded box. Iirc they said its how the mark 1 car appears at the end of part2. Basically it was a cheaper way of producing the part1 car without having to pay for the license which is more expensive than the licenses for part2 and 3.

Personally im not bothered if HT ever release the hover version. It has all the innaccurices of the part1 release, the hover mode looks awful and only 6 out of the 8 vent holes light up. I cant see HT releasing any vehicle again and i think part2 marty and doc will be the end of the bttf line. If they do release the teased part2 1955 versions, they wont be released for at least 3 to 5yrs. They will be concentrating on star wars, justice league and infinity wars. Infinity wars alone will keep them busy for a few years. Im just happy that i get to own 2 martys, a doc and a delorean in 1/6th. If you told me these would happen when i was a kid, i wouldnt have believed you.

Glad I got the Part I Delorean when I did. The price of that one will now skyrocket.

Yeah I'm looking forward to receiving mine on Monday. It was $800 with shipping, which is a price I wouldn't have even thought about paying a year or so ago.... but after seeing what the Ecto-1 costs it suddenly doesn't seem so high anymore! :D

It also helps that I'm not a fan of the final BTTF2 Marty figure at all, so pairing up the original Marty and DeLorean seems a much better way to go now.

It's the most iconic and desirable version of the delorean imo. The scene in the mall parking lot is probably the most memorable of the entire trilogy. But if they made the part 2 I would still be tempted to double dip.

Just got an email saying..

"We wanted to let you know that the shipment of your Dr. Emmett Brown Sixth Scale Figure item will be delayed. Based on the latest production information, we now expect your item to arrive into our warehouse in Jan - Feb 2018.

We apologize that this date has been modified but we look forward to shipping out this item to you when it arrives."

Maybe or it could just be a prototype. Not sure how many prototypes of something like that they’d need to make. What’s really the point other when there’s more than one convention happening at a time.
