Anyone who owns it could explain us about the rubber? Do you feel it is the same of the old figures which had lots of problems?

I just need now a big chap 2.0:)

I was going to trade in my aged brown Alien for this when I saw the pictures but now i'm not so sure, it does look beautiful but the lack of shoulder/leg articulation bothers me, I know they are trying to make the whole thing more aesthetically pleasing however if that was the most important to me I'd buy a statue, it'll probably go on my list but rather far down.

You should buy it.....It's a great rendition of the xeno!

There were like 158 workers and their families on Hadley's Hope... How many Xenos would that produce? About 520 ish? That's how many I want!

Population 158, so wind back that spending spree.

According to AvP wikia:
Named after its founder, Curtis Hadley,[5] the colony itself was fairly small, home to some 158 workers and their families
...if that's true it's going to be pretty expensive. But I think I remember them saying 50-60 families in the movie... So hope you're right.

Yep population means all the inhabitants, so seeing as Newt was the only survivor & one guy was confirmed dead (when they removed the hugger) you should set your cart number to 156 - max.

But then Apone & Dietrich got grabbed in the first encounter - so back up to 158 :lol

Just short of $40k ...

I surely hope they pan on doing some marines though, as otherwise those acid effects are useless.

I was thinking the same thing. The Alien Ripley only comes with the flamethrower and not a shotgun or anything that could cause bullet wounds, so maybe it is indeed a hint that HT wants or is making the marines as well down the line, as long as Ripley and the Warrior Drone sell well.

i REALLY hope so... all of the old hot toys aliens look a bit crap if I'm honest. i bought them all and the predalien but after a while i just disliked the way their mouths never shut properly so sold them on ebay. i think my fav out of them all was the old 'blue aliens' due to it looking more like the aliens from the comic 'Genocide'.

This new version looks (pretty much) identical to the movie. The level of details is fantastic and the mouth 'expression' looks very aggressive which i love!

i REALLY REALLY want a dog alien with the snarled lips and aggressive mouth.

so when opened looks like below...

and when shut still has a snarl...

cockroach, given how much you seem to love this one, do you think that they could do a dog alien as well and be as good as this new guy ?

@BatBrain: Thanks for posting my vid review here. :hi5:

Overall i'm very impressed but i can't compare it to the first versions, we have to wait for the comparison video of DeanKnight - he'll get us all the facts. It's hard to describe the "flexible plastic suit" they used on the body, legs and arms - it's bendy but does not feel rubbery. So the impression is that it might hold up better over time - but maybe in 2 - 3 years we're getting back in this thread here only to see bad reports...you never know.

Xeno, I think you just convinced me to pull the trigger on this. Your lighting and video really shows off the wonderful paint job on this figure. Excellent stuff!
