that feel had to atrophy to avoid eternal sadness, as i have many figures i actually don't need (bought on a hype, like AVP/Rodrigators figures or 3zero ED-209, or turned out to be ******, like this one), but have no way to sell.

I'm a huge Alien fan, and since getting all of HT's first wave of figures (AvP, Aliens, AvP-R, Alien and A3), I sold them all (except the AvP, still the best of their alien figures IMHO) and haven't even considered buying a new one of their aliens.
While this new warrior has many nice details, the overall thing looks very far from the movie creatures.

Despite all the bad reviews on this I ordered one anyway, I'm in for Ripley and have wanted a Hot Toys Alien for a while, it should look great on the shelf, hopefully it will hold up well, if not its on me as I knew the issues going in.

Way to go ROT Toys...I mean HOT toys. My old Kenner made in the 70's is holding up better than this!

Got my first Hot Toys Alien today, very impressive paint job and sculpting on this piece, the blue pearl color really pops in hand, I'll have a first impression video up on this later tonight or tomorrow

I can't say if it will hold up but I would think if you don't play around with the jaw feature I think it will as most of the figure seems to be made of a durable material. It does look nice on display and is a must if you don't have an Alien and plan to get Ripley.

exactly. its straight low-detailed head with no holes in the head and smiling AVP-style mouth is greater than the original alien image. accuracy sucks.

But yeah, it's sad to see how NECA's 1/4 figure has a waaay better sculpt than HT's remake.
